I'm filing a complaint about RHA's June 3rd 2022 project based voucher program rent verification letter ordered by RHA's *************** for the amount of $582.00 dollars which is not balanced truth. Based on my monthly income at $1185.00-$1200.00 per month my monthly rent should be no more than $363.00-$368.00 dollars per month at the 30% flat rate.This was also too noted by ****************** ll Mgr. ******************* as not affordable rent based on my monthly income. There is no other source of income.A appeal of the June 3rd 2022 project based voucher for rent was requested on the June 16th 2022. The appeal offered only a 3% decrease in rent which is $579.00 per month and yet still isn't affordable based rent for a low income housing project and is a breach of contract that they ordered more 30% flat rate of my monthly income. They were offered a security deposit for the amount of $563.00 dollars to hold the apartment. ****************** ll Management still has of it. Please help me with this situation so that I may be able to move in at the low income housing rate that is affordable. Thank youBusiness response

************** was approved for a project-based voucher and was scheduled to move. ************** had some concerns related to how his rent was calculated and worked with the property manager and **** staff to gain understanding.During this review, it was determined that the rent was slightly off and required an adjustment. However, it is important to point out that ************** utilizes net income whereas rent is calculated based on gross income, which significantly increases his portion. ************** has been provided a copy of the calculation summary that documents how the rent was calculated.
An attempt to contact the applicant was made on August 31, 2022 at 4:28pm but the phone went straight to voicemail and the mailbox has not been setup yet.Customer response

I wasn't satisfied with their performance after your investigation of my complaint because they have not contacted me back even after city council woman Newbille contact a *************** of RHA to resolve the issue. *************** only tried contacting me once and has not tried calling me back since I left message for her to call me back again. That has been more than several weeks ago.
