Since 2018 All 4 door latch assemblies have been replaced twice on my **** ***** *****. The latch assemblies are the locking mechanism in the side of the door that connects and moves when you hit the lock/unlock buttons of the doors or use the key fob. These repairs are in a span of 26 thousand miles (the car now has 80,000 miles) and the issue is the doors will not open with the buttons in the door or on the fob. The door locks have not gone bad all at once, but either in single doors or sometimes multiples. Cost of the repairs has come to $********. Granted I have an extended warranty that has covered all but $***, but the real issue to me is these parts or their installation have a much bigger quality problem as the issue is reoccurring. One or two door latches going bad would be a random event that things just break on a car and need fixing and should be covered by the owner. All four doors needing repair twice within 20 thousand miles is not normal maintenance. All repairs have been performed by West Broad Honda. I spoke to my repair agent there, the assistant service manager, and the service manager of this location about the unexpected reoccurring repairs and costs and what I perceived to be a quality problem either in the parts or installation. Being a Honda dealership and authorized repair shop I expected at minimum advocacy on my part to work with the main American Honda Motor Co. to own the quality problem, but my only response from them was “the repairs are no longer under warranty, you must pay full repair cost again”. All repairs did come with a one year 12,000 mile warranty in which I am sure they would honor, but the parts have broken down between 15,000 and 20,000 miles. I just wanted to express disappointment in West Broad Honda and share the experience with others. There is a quality problem in my opinion and no ownership of the issue.

Moving from a state using only one license plate to Virginia which requires 2, I needed a bracket to mount the front plate. And a state inspection. And why not mount the plates at the same time - just 4 more screws. Oh, and a tire light was on - typically a pressure difference between two or more tires...usually around a seasonal temperature change. I expected, if lucky, no charge for mounting license plates, complimentary tire pressure check. Clearly you pay for an inspection and installing the two screws to attach that license plate bracket. Hoowee!!! $** to check the tires. For the bolts ($* each from parts dept.) needed to attach the bracket? $**. And before I said "stop", I'd have to leave the car AND none of it could happen for another week. That's when I said, "nope". Take down the Honda sign and fly the Jolly Roger. Arrrrrrr. It'd be more honest. For sure I've sidestepped more grief by avoiding this outfit.

I have an old ***** ****** that I cherish. It is a ****, has low mileage, and has needed little maintenance. Recently, the battery died. After replacing it, “code” showed up on my radio. I called West Broad Honda and was told i needed the serial number off of the radio. When I asked where it was located, it was recommended I bring it in. For just $******, they would pull out my radio, find the serial number, and enter the code. $******. I told the man he was awesome, hung up, and googled my problem. There was a code in the owners manual. 15 seconds later the radio was back on. They wanted to charge me almost $**/minute instead of telling me where the info was. I will likely continue to purchase Hondas but, I WILL NOT shop at West Broad Honda. This is unacceptable and I hope no one else gets taken by this dealer. I cannot believe page auto group is this ruthless. Its bad enough all the customer complaints for unnecessary diagnostics.

From the time Honda started putting anti-theft codes into radios, until 2001 there were four ways to retrieve the serial number and/or the anti-theft code for a radio. 1. Off the credit card sized card that was put in the new car packet at PDI (the anti-theft code and the radio serial number were both on this card.) 2. The serial number was sometimes put on a sticker and placed inside the glovebox by the PDI technician. 3. The PDI technician was supposed to write the anti-theft code down inside the PDI booklet, this often did not happen. 4. Pull the radio out of the dash and retrieve the serial number off the back of the radio. If a customer calls us needing a radio code on a twenty-year-old car, it is probable that the assumption was made that the first three options had already been exhausted. Therefore, the customer was directed to bring the vehicle to us to pull the radio and incur the $****** charge. We sincerely apologize for this misunderstanding and in no way was this an attempt to take advantage of a customer.
