I paid a 700.00 deposit for a headstone and received a receipt 4/5/2023 from ***** *****. It's been over a year and monument has not been received. I have called and emailed Ms. ***** at ******************* regarding it. I have spoken with her twice. Each time she says she would have the owner, her brother contact me. He has not. I've also had a relative go to the office to speak with someone. He went in December and again she said she'd have her brother call me. The phone system will not accept messages and no one answers calls. Mail is only accepted at **** *** *** ********* ********* A letter sent to *** ****** ** was returned as undeliverable. The office is located in the cemetery they own, Memorial View Cemetery that is located at *** ****** ** ********* ** *****. I sent a final email May 3, asking for a refund. No reply.Business response

Approximately 1 year ago I spoke with the person working in the office at the Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway VA about engraving the death date on a tombstone belonging to my former brother-in-law. He purchased the plots at the time of my sister's death in 1993 then got the tombstone shortly thereafter. He then asked us if we would want the plots adjoining theirs so we could share the tombstone & the cost of it. That's what we did. He then about 1 year later remarried. Upon his passing in 2013 his new wife had him cremated. She passed away a few years later & I have no idea what happened to my brother-in-laws ashes. But that is not really the issue. The problem is that his name & birth date are engraved on the tombstone and I want to get his death date engraved on there also. Even though I have talked to someone at the Cemetery 3 times & was told they would do this & would charge $150 payable upon completion of the work they still have not done it. I need some help from someone to get this taken care of. I have no documentation of this I trusted her word when she said they would do it. Thank youCustomer response

Friday, December 23, 2022 1:44 PM This situation has been resolved. Date was engraved the following day after complient. Bill has been sent.
