Gatti took my motor apart for unknown reason, refused to put it back together, subsequent mechanics refused to work on it because of how Gatti left it. Finally towed to a shop to fix it and that mechanic was livid about how the car was left. He stated that the repair went from the hundreds to the thousands due to Gatti.

Mr. ***** contacted our repair facility concerning his vehicle. He stated the Main Drive Belt Tensioner had detached from the engine somehow, and would no longer run when attempting to start. We agreed to examine the vehicle for him. His vehicle was towed to our facility. Upon arrival it was confirmed the vehicle would not start up when prompted. We found no evidence of a Tensioner being displaced or detached. We removed the Engine Valve Cover to observe the current positions of the Camshaft Sprockets in case the engine had somehow     " jumped " timing. Despite this we could not make a determination at that time because further diagnosis was required. This vehicle is a BMW, and requires an excessive amount of Specialized Tooling in order for us to go any further. Tools which we did not have.We explained this to Mr. *****, and recommended him to a different repair facility that would more than likely possess such equipment. We received no argument from him at that time. There was no refusal on our part to put anything back together simply because there was no request to do so. We removed one component, the Valve Cover. We left it displaced in an attempt to help "save a step" in further diagnosis. Had we anticipated this action would have caused any damage to the vehicle, no matter how improbable, we would have re-installed the Cover immediately. Or would have done so at his request. It was thoroughly explained to Mr. ***** that our facility lacked the proper equipment to move forward. We recommended his vehicle to a different facility, wished him well, and did not charge him any amount of money for our services rendered.
