After going to this office for a few years I stopped going. I had dental INS that covered 100% preventative care. And if I had a filling it was 50%. Normally I paid in advance for any fillings or at the time of service or if I got flouride treatment. I believed to never have a balance due for I was never told so until now , 2years later!!! I feel like the office mis handled my ins and now is coming to me for their mistakes expecting me to cover it. It's poor office billing and how do I know its even legit after all this time. They sent me texts before I even got a bill. Then just now got a bill with a finance charge!!! Plus showing over 90 days late!!! I was never notified there was an insurance problem over the last 2 years!!!! This needs to be corrected immediately!! I feel like they are trying to rob me for $452.18. Bad business!

The above patient and her son were seen on 03/07/2022 for routine cleaning visits.  The patient's insurance company paid for her son's visit on 07/21/2022 and paid the majority of the claim.  The insurance company paid $78.75 on 03/16/2022.  When the explanation of benefits came back it stated:  "To avoid delaying your claim, the primary plan's payment has been estimated."  We sent the claim back stating this was the only insurance the patient had and there is no other insurance information, to please reprocess the claim.  That information was submitted on 03/18/2022 and we've been trying to fight the amount paid from that point forward.  We do try to send out a statement to collect the balance on the account, but also understand it has been 2 years and the patient has never received a bill until now.  Once I am able to speak with the doctor about the claim and situation, more than likely the doctor will allow me to write the bill off as a timely filing issue.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The response from the dental office does not explain why my Insurance was not sufficient in preventative coverage which I had at 100%. Did the dental office drop my Insurance company and not let me be aware that they no longer where in the network? Which I was unable to make an informed decision to continue with the services of a cleaning and X-rays.   I would like them to answer this.  I would have chosen to go somewhere that did accept the Insurance because why would I pay for insurance and not use the benefits. I stand firm in that I was mislead by this dental practice or the office made an error.  Either way, new clients beware of this office. So you don't have this same experience.   As you can see they are not trying to right a wrong with me.  Regards, ****** ******

I have been a patient here for many years. I can recall only one time in the past that I rescheduled an appointment on short notice, and that was due to an exposure to covid and need to isolate. I do not ever remember missing an appointment. In February of 2021 I was sent a reminder that I had an appointment, and I was asked to confirm the appointment with in 48 hours. I work long hours at a local hospital and don't have access to my cell phone during those hours. I confirmed my appointment with in 24 hours, only to be told they were cancelling my appointment and charging me a fee. I disagreed with this office policy because I have always been a reliable patient for this practice. The office manager, ***, and I had a heated discussion, and I kept the appointment. As soon as the appointment ended I informed the front desk that I would not be returning and wanted to sign paperwork to have my records sent to Dr ******** office. I signed the paperwork while I was there on February 26th, 2021 around 3 PM. I also told them to cancel any further appointments for my family as we were all changing practices. When I had an appointment at my new dentist's office they did not have my records. Hunting Hills says I never signed a release, which is untrue. Now I am getting bills from them for $101.50 for missed appointments for my daughter for August 20, 2021 and September 7, 2021. When I got the 1st bill I contacted their office and told them I cancelled all appointments and they needed to make sure they carried thru on their end. Not my problem they failed to cancel these appointments as I requested. I got another bill in December and spoke to ***** on December 30, 2021 around 1130 AM. An office manager was supposed call me back, but has not. My daughter is 23 yrs old, so this bill is not my responsibility anyway. I advised my daughter not to pay these charges either because all appointments were cancelled. I feel this practice is vindictive because we changed dentist.

We have waived all missed appt. fees and she does not have a balance.   We still have not received a release of records form from her that we emailed to her in August.  She called in November and we send the form again.    If she still does not have the release form it maybe best for her to stop in the office and complete.

I signed a release form while in Hunting Hill's office in February 2021. I never received any emails from them, ever. My new dentist office may have called them about the form, but I did not. Dr ******** office had me sign a release form for Hunting Hills and then they faxed it to Hunting Hills. The receptionist waited on the phone to confirm that Hunting Hills did indeed receive the signed release form, so the statement from Hinting Hills is not true. I am glad they corrected their mistake on my bill, and I wish to have no further contact with this business ever again. ****** *****
