Talvis Crenshaw was hired to install an outdoor electrical outlet, with a ground wire, for a hot tub March 2022. He was paid $600.00. It did not pass inspection because he did not put in a ground wire, which is a safety issue. I tried to get him to come back to fix the issue over and over again. He admitted he was at fault and promised to come back. He never showed up. He promised me over and over he was coming. He would set up a time to come and make excuses why he never did. After weeks of his excuses, I was in jeopardy of having to renew the building permit and it would cost me more money. I told him that also. Again he never showed up. I had to hire an additional contractor to complete Mr Crenshaw's work and had to pay again the contractor's fee. I have pages of text messages from him promising to finish the job, promising to make things right and promising a refund, and he never shows up. I have text messages dating back to March 25, 2022. I am now filing this complaint with the BBB, filing a complaint with the licensing commission, and seeking an attorney to begin legal action against Mr Crenshaw. Mr Crenshaw is unreliable and unbelievable. His work is sketchy and his work ethic is horrible to say the least. I have done everything except beg him to make this right, but he is not responding anymore so therefore I have no choice but to file legal action. This is not something I want to do but I feel that I have no choice.Business response

The customer’s husband call me to install a circuit for a used hot tub. I ran wire to panel and added a breaker inside of home. I also added a Gfci disconnect for hot tub and ran wire to hot tub. Hot tub was working fine, job completed. Several months later, the husband called saying that he called an inspection of work that was done by me and himself on his storage building. The husband stated the the inspector says the the disconnect was not functioning properly, the husband stated to me himself that he purchased a new disconnect breaker and changed himself, before I was able to view myself, so I cannot verify if disconnect was working properly prior to the husband changing disconnect breaker. I still was will to repair my wrongs, except I was scheduled out, and they had a time frame that I was not included or notified. They owner had someone else to do work, and I was willing to pay half, just to keep good customer relations, I was badgered during Christmas time for need of money, I have text, and I’m sure the customer have also, however, I’m still will to pay half even though, husband changing disconnect breaker, voids work, him not being a licensed electrician
