This business known as the townside plumbing , has damage my spigot on the outside of my basement wall. While they were trying to fix my leak I had explain to them were water was leaking and shooting on me when I went to turn on and off my water hose. The employee that were sent to my home appears to be in a rush while he was doing the job and in doing so damage the spigot coming out of the wall. He tried not to admit it but than admitted that he had damage my spiget while trying to fix it. I have tried serveral times to call the townside plumbing to have this issue resolved but no one have contacted me yet. I have also refused to pay until until this matter is resolved. The worker also left with my old part as well.Initial Complaint

On July 20, 2023 **** from Townside Plumbing replaced a hose bibb in a hard to reach location very close to the ground. I wanted one that would shut completely off using just my fingers, yet they replaced the one that took two hands and a lot of effort to completely shut off, with another every bit as difficult to handle. I have contacted Townside Plumbing more than 9 times over the past 8 months. So far on only 3 occasions, 1 or 2 plumbers came to the house to review the problem with their installed hose bibb but all the other times my request for help was ignored. The last time they showed up I demonstrated to the 2 plumbers exactly what I had thought I should have gotten by turning on and off a different hose bibb with ease, yet they continue to focus on upselling a far more expensive different type of hose bibb when they show up at all. I have run out of patience waiting and hoping for their return to repair or replace this faucet. I paid them in full immediately after the installation and 8 months later remain unable to use this high-use hose bibb. As Spring is here I need a fully functional, easy to use hose bibb and want the job completed immediately or my money refunded so I can hire someone else who will provide what I want.Business response

We installed the new frost free hose bibb for her in July of 23. We came out to her location 2 times afterwards in August to see if there were any frost free options available for her. She needs a hose bibb she can easily turn she stated due to her arthritis. We tried to locate one that would offer frost free protection as well as ease of removal. What we found was more expensive than the original. After much research we did find a potential option to which I called Mrs ******** on the 10th of April to discuss. I left a voicemail. I called on 2 occasions after that as well. The new option isn't preferred by us but it should allow her the ability to shut off and on the valve.We look forward to helping her resolve this matter.Customer response

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that, althought this proposed action would resolve my complaint, I've received such assurances in the past. Informed the customer that we would be glad to install a lever style silcock which would be easier to handle. She was not happy insisting there is a better way. I did inform her that if she was able to find another plumber to put in a silcock she felt was easier to use that we would issue a credit for what we charged her
