Whitt Carpet One put tile in our kitchen in Nov. 2011.. Which appeared to be fine. AroundOctober/November 2023 a rat somehow got under our dishwasher, making a nest. It chewed the electrical cord under our dishwasher and the dishwasher no longer works. We called an appliance repair person who told us he could not repair the dishwasher because the kitchen tile was laid over the feet of the dishwasher and it could not be pulled out without busting the tile. He told us the tile had been installed incorrectly. I called Whitt and spoke with **** who told me there was nothing they could do; The warranty had expired. I am left with a rats nest full of poop and urine and an inoperable dishwasher. I sought advice from a plumber who has told me they also could not repair the dishwasher because of the same reason. Thank you for your assistance.

This has been an absolutely horrid experience. This company is lipstick on a pig; the initial consultation and in-store experience was fine (always is when they are salivating for your hard-earned $$$), but the ordering and installation process has been a complete NIGHTMARE. I am extremely angry and appalled that such a business can have a fundamental operations disconnect and an untrustworthy operating practice, and can call themselves a "carpet store" with a straight face. When I had the initial consultation, Sarah *********, a sales rep, saw firsthand that I had exposed subflooring with carpet tacks exposed. I explicitly told her that the three rooms with exposed subflooring with carpet tacks exposed were the highest priority. That consultation was a month ago. After going through a trying design selection process with Sarah (Carpet One's prices are astronomically high and their installation blew my budget out of reason as a first time home buyer, AND what she recommended was out of stock - why didn't she check the inventory prior to trying to sell me?), I placed an order on February 21, and paid IN FULL for simple, Silver-tiered carpet for 3 rooms just so end the long-winded design and selection process. Sarah said it would be a couple of weeks to maybe a month to have the carpet installed. Begrudgingly, I signed off on it - hoping that the simplicity of the order would expedite the timeline. After all, a place called CARPET One that makes their living SELLING CARPET surely can't muck it up, right? Should rename themselves to Carpet Non-Existant. Since paying, Sarah has consistently shown a failure in communication, a failure of follow-through, and has given me so many excuses and delays that I'm beginning to question if I've been duped. First the ordering system was down for a week, so I had to hand-hold her through that to ensure she was ordering it in a timely manner. Then, I he

Mr. ***********, I appreciate you bringing your issues to me. Unless I hear from customers, good and not so good, I am unaware. You are right to think that the ordering process is a nightmare. We struggle with that nightmare every day as most products are backordered more than they are available. Our selling process is based on recommending products that fit our customers’ needs as well as their desires. While is a great idea to check inventory first, with hundreds of carpet selections and thousands of colors, we need customer feedback on selections before it is feasible to check stock. Again, most products are backordered more than they are available. The ordering of your product was further complicated by the fact that the manufacturer ******** ****** was and still is a victim of a cyber attack and is still regrouping on how to maintain business flow. A perfect storm for both you and Whitt Carpet One. My understanding is that your carpet is in our warehouse and an installation date is scheduled. It is my hope that we can complete the installation and improve upon your opinion of Whitt Carpet One. Thank you again for your review. Respectfully, Charles Whitt President
