On April 30, 2021 we entered into a contract with ********************* of Root Life Landscapes LLC for the following landscape work and fence construction:Tree removal/ labor ($1,850)removal and dump fees ($450)***** removal and roots ($750)drainage for 10 gutters ($2,500)removal of chain link and cement posts and debris ($3,000)vinyl fencing and material, travel, delivery ($11,975)associated labor for fence panels ($3,225) and posts ($1,250)Also packaged in this contract (no charge as it was included as part of the overall contract):Mulching and spring clean up 2021 season mowings Seeding and grading of property The invoice for these services totaled $25,000. My wife ************************* and myself, ******************* gave ****** a check for $20,000 for 80 percent of the project, with the remaining 20 percent ($5,000) to be given upon completion of this project. $11,975 of this total was to be used for "vinyl fencing and material, travel, delivery". The project was to be completed by July 4, 2021. On July 13, 2021 none of the work was completed. I contacted ********************* via text message to ask for a timeline for completion of the contract. The work was not completed as promised. On August 5, 2021 I again contacted ********************* via text message to ask for a timeline for completion of the project and was told the work would be completed within a few weeks. The work was not completed.On August 16, 2021 I contacted ********************* again via text message asking for a timeline for completion of the contract. The work was not completed. On September 17, 2021 I attempted to call ********************* several times but he did not answer to phone calls or texts. On September 18, 2021 I messaged ********************* on ******** Messenger, stating that if I did not hear from him within 24 hours, I was seeking a refund. September 19, 2021 ****** messaged stating he "would begin the refund process."It is now October 26, 2021 and we do not have the work completed or a refund.
