On Feb 23, I took my red ****** vacuum into "Vacuums Unlimited" in Springfield, VA, for repairs. FYI: This is where I purchased the vacuum, as well, 4.5 years ago. They were to call me first with an estimate before any work was done. When I called a few days later to inquire about the status of my vacuum cleaner, they told me it was ready! When I went in to pick up my vacuum they brought out another vacuum saying it was mine. I reminded them mine was red, not the turquoise vacuum they bought out. I left with the turquoise vacuum cleaner, which I know now that I should not have done, but I really didn't know the right thing to do at that particular moment. I was shocked by their actions, attempting and succeeding at what they did. I asked them if they had a store camera and he said yes, but he could not get to it to show me bringing in my red vacuum. I said, looking into the manager's face, guess I should have taken a picture of my vacuum cleaner before leaving it for repairs. He said nothing. Although I left with a vacuum cleaner not mine, a bait and switch was done, and I want to know why, and I want them held accountable. Besides the fact that their actions were criminal/unlawful/illegal, etc., I want them to know they cannot treat the American public (me) in such a way. It is wrong, and I am perplexed as to why they did such a wrongful act. Who knows what other kinds of behavior goes on inside this store. Maybe they feel this is such a minor criminal act of monetary value that they will not be prosecuted. If your office would call them or drop by their store, maybe that would be enough to scare them into doing what is right. Needless to say, I will not be using them again. Thank you for any help you may be able to extend.
