Prior to my move I was contacted to determine the earliest time I was available and I advised 4:30am. I was scheduled for a crew of 3 at 6:00am, but was contacted on that morning and told they would arrive closer to 8:00am. When they arrived there were only 2 guys and they took 4 hours to load versus the 2 hours I was quoted. Once everything was loaded I was advised the truck could only drive at speeds up to 65mph so my items would not be delivered until midnight. Since my items were already loaded I didnt have many options. Once I determined the storage facility was closing at 9pm, I let them know there was a 24 hour location that only had small units but I was willing to pay for another if they were able to unload my items into it or have my items moved into the other storage if they were able to wait until 6:00am. I was then told I know this may be a tough situation for you, but we have a job that we have to get back to in the morning and my wife comes because we share driving. We have to unload, whatever space you have we can put it in the 8x5 and what can not go, we can put on the side of the unit. Please advise! I essentially was being told that although I coordinated a move with enough time to have my items securely moved into a storage during business hours, that would not occur due to poor time management on their behalf. They arrived at the storage facility at 1:30am and dropped my items off outside of the storage facility blocking the gate entrance where I had to sit until they opened at 6:00am, and coordinate an additional move with another company to transfer my items from the storage gate into the unit.Customer response
