When ***** arrived at my house to discuss repairs I specifically told him that the rotten flooring was my number one concern with the home. He did inform me that they usually didn't do floor repair and had to get confirmation for this superiors to do it. He said permission had be granted from his superiors to do the repair. when I received the contract I had questions about the verbiage used in the section to repair the floor. I texted him to confirm that the rotten floor would in fact be removed. He said absolutely and that he would make sure the foreman was aware of this. The workers were sent to my home and then said they would not be removing any wood as their company did not do that kind of work. I showed the text messages to the worker and said but I was assured that your company would do it. After a back and forth between ***** and ***** (manger) I was told they will not remove the rotten flooring and would only secure the floor with new wood over top of the rot. If I do in fact want the rotten floor removed that they would get another contractor to my home at additional cost to me. I have said that I only signed the contract after the confirmation that they would take care of the rotten subfloor. If they couldn't do the work they shouldn't have told me they could. They are telling me my only options are to do as they want or pay another contractor to do what I had originally asked. This area of rotten subflooring is under my furnace unit and as such I cannot have an HVAC system installed until this issue is resolved.

Re: encapsulating our crawl space In August, 2019 they did shoddy work, had to come back to redo sections that were peeling off and exposing earth below and then when the problem of moisture and odor persisted they wanted to charge me an additional ***** to get it right. And then they went on to tell me that the salesman I worked with is no longer with the company...as if that was meant to reassure me all will be well?!

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/01/19) */ At the time of inspection, back in August 2019, no bulk water in the crawl space was observed and moisture mitigation repairs were proposed. No service calls were made to the home regarding "shotty work." Later the client reported water entering the crawl space. At our inspection it appeared to be entering from the crawl space door and from ground water. At this time a sump pump system was proposed to the homeowner to address these concerns, and was not accepted. Now, the same water issue is still present and the sump pump system was proposed again. The products, and workmanship as designed and installed in 2019 to address the client's moisture issues in their crawl space were designed to address moisture concerns, NOT bulk water issues, which were not present at the time. When the sump pump system was most recently proposed in order to address the client's bulk water issue and service concerns we also offered additional discounts on the service.
