I went to 2 other matchmaking services with zero results before I was fortunate enough to find Options. Options not only found me the man I've been waiting for since coming out 12 years ago but during my membership they provided invaluable and compassionate coaching that I feel helped me to better understand what I needed vs. what I wanted. It took Options over a year and a half but during that time I felt the staff were really listening to my feedback and the guys that I met were serious about an LTR and were of a very high caliber overall. For me, the third time really was a charm and now I have my Prince Charming! J. Edwards

My husband and I met through Options about 15 years ago and we’re still going strong! The reason I’m posting now is because every year we toast our anniversary and thank Options. August 14th reminded me that this was long overdue. Thank you Options for changing our lives and bringing us together!

Options consistently provided excellent service throughout my time as a member. Professional candidates were introduced and the team was always prompt and diligent during my interactions with them.

Not for me…. No hard feelings I wrote a review on Yelp and temporarily took it down after talking with Options management about improving my experience… I have decided to repost. As a black gay professional, I don’t recommend this service. Out of respect for some of the efforts made by Options management to salvage a very toxic exchange I had with the gentleman over the men’s matching division, I have found there may be other ways to find a suitable partner. My experience below is a cautionary tale, specifically for men of all backgrounds looking to connect with a significant other. 1. Membership packages are a bit pricey for the actual service you get. Although there is a range of packages, I think the platinum ($$$$$) may yield better results?? Not sure... 2. There aren’t as many “options” as they promote during intake calls. I think females may have better luck. There is definitely a surplus of certain “types” that others. (Note: Individual preferences and location play a big part in the experience.) 3. Gaslighting 101: As a member, I found it off-putting when told that my preferences restricted me from a successful match (which was not excessive). 4. Recycling: I was told by an Options manager that one member was dating outside the service and would likely be back if/when it didn’t work out and that we would be a good match in the event…. That's a highly “different” way of matching, in my opinion. 5. Matching: I feel that the matching process (Myers test and an additional) is not a suitable assessment to match people because people will answer questions in whatever way works in their favor. I feel a more diverse panel of people vetting members would help because the interpretation of assessments and preferences differs among demographic groups. 6. I don't expect microwave results; however, the offhand approach in communication/ interaction is something I realize isn't a fit for me (maybe a different experience with the platinum packages $$$$$).
