on 16 March 22, I reported a claim to my insurance ******** subcontractor of ************ Molly ***** the ******** insurance adjuster contacted American Leak Detection to inspect and locate the leak. On 22 March 2022, after two canceled appointments, the technician Joe ******** spent over 3 hours trying to locate the leak in our laundry drainpipe running his Camera three times to and from the main line, unable to identify where the leak was due to the pipe being dirty, he did a test ball plug "Balloon" in the pipe and damaged the pipe prior to him doing that he made a comment that "it's been a long time since I did this to locate a leak" which it didn't give me the warm and fuzzy feeling so I asked him if he was submitting the videos and the report to my insurance company he replied "YES we do " I didn't have a reason to doubt it. When I contacted my rep, Molly ****** she stated that he only sent her a picture and the report with the note drain line leaking under the slab in the laundry next to the outside wall. What he didn't report was the fact that he burst the pipe and it made a sound when he did Test ball plug to the pipe to locate the leak making it impossible to re-access the line with the camera. Now because of his Untruthful diagnosis, my insurance is only covering what he noted in the report, limiting my claim. I contacted Mr. ****** Plumbing company, who stated that it couldn't be the source of the leak and confirming that they couldn't access the entirety of the pipe due to the damage created which caused part of the pipe to be gone (Please see attached video from Mr. ****** plumbing). I am an active duty member and serving for over 20 yrs. It is disappointing that I couldn't trust my fellow Americans and it was a slap in the face. I just want American Leak to own their mistake and submit the videos taken prior to their technician bursting the drainpipe so that my insurance can adjust my claim and cover for needed repairs!
