I have a loan with Minute Loan. I had a payment come out of my account for $262.28 on 6/10/23. This payment had been authorized to be pulled from my account on 6/2/23. I missed that payment because the money was not available. I called the company to let them know that the money wasn’t available. They then decided that they were going to go ahead and take the money on 6/10/23 which I did not authorize. That caused my account to be messed up because that was actually money for my rent. There was another payment set up for 6/23/23. For this payment I literally called them and set up an arrangement for them to take that payment on 7/1/23, however they decided to go ahead and take the payment against my wishes again. The payment was taken from my account on 6/30/23. I realize that it was only a day away but that day makes a major difference when your money is designated to be budgeted for something else. I called them to complain and ask for them to return it to my account and they told me they wouldn’t because I broke the previous agreement. My complaint is that first of all, this is the second time that this company has taken it upon themselves to take my money against my wishes. I would like the outcome to be for them to return my money back to my account. I don’t feel it’s fair for them to just feel like they can take the money against the consumers wishes and get away with it. Those actions put me in a great financial bond and I can’t continue to allow them to just do whatever they want against a consumers wishes and they should be stopped.

Minute Loan Center of Dover, Delaware processed 2 payments on February 16, 2023 for a loan that doesn’t belong to me. I explained that these charges were unauthorized, I also provided documentation showing this as well and they refused to process a refund. My debit card information was added to my ex’s loan application without my permission. According to one of the representatives, the application was done in person and the agent who processed the loan listed him as the cardholder even though we do not share an account or any financial information. His name was not listed on my card and I did not authorize any recurring payments. After I and one of the store representatives explained this to the VP , he still denied my refund. I was told to file a police report against my ex which I have done. I also filed a dispute with my bank but I feel that Minute Loan Center should also be held accountable. This loan was from 2019, no payments were processed using my card information until 2/16/2023. The card that was used was reported stolen and no longer active but approved by my bank somehow. The VP I spoke was very rude and condescending, I did record our conversation in which he stated they are not required to get any cardholders approval before adding their information to someone else’s loan application. He stated as long as the card information is validated , they are legally allowed to process the payments which I find absurd. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a company or talked to with such disrespect. I spoke with several different agents who also refused to assist me with this matter. If someone could help me with next steps on this I would really appreciate it. Thank you for time!
