I originally went to CARSTAR facility ****'s Autobody in *********, ** in 2018 to get a scrape on my bumper repaired. Estimator ********************* said the bumper would need to be replaced. I left the car for repair. When I picked up the car, the bumper was not installed correctly. There was a gap and visible bracket holes where it the bumper should have been tightly fitted to the car body. I left the car two more days while it was supposed to be repaired properly. When I came to pick it up again, it was still not fitted correctly. The manager said they needed to order a new clip, so I returned several weeks later and left the car again. When I picked up the car the third time, teh bumper was still not fitted right. They told me they would have to glue it or find another solution, so I would have to bring the car back again. I brought the car back again and again, at least TEN times. Yes - 10. They said they needed parts, they lost the paperwork, they changed systems and lost all the files, they lost the appraiser's paperwork, I needed to come back repeatedly for a manager to look at the bumper, and whomever I needed to speak with was always at lunch or with another customer, they did not return calls, etc. The last time I finally got the manager on the phone, I was told that they do not warranty parts after 30 days. I reminded them that I brought the problem to their attention on DAY #1, when I first picked up the car after their first attempt to fix it, and they should have replaced the defective bumper at that time. They told me it was too bad. The time had passed when they covered the part. The problem was reported the day I picked up the vehicle, so it should be covered under the parts warranty. I got a call from CARSTAR corporate and they promised they would take care of me. They said they would follow up with an email. That was 7 months ago. I spoke to CARSTAR Case Manager ********************* in ******, but he said it's a US problem and he can't help.
