We recently moved to the area and found Woody through an acquaintance. We purchased a home here in *************** that needed the following done: - Paint all main floor walls - Switch our beige switch & plug plates for white - Refinish floors on the 1st floor - Finish the rough basement Woody ensured me that he had practice doing all of these things. The 1st mistake he made was painting the ceilings in 2 of the downstairs rooms the same color as the walls. I specifically requested that only the walls be completed. He fixed the issue. However, we found drips of paint on most floors, including newly installed carpet, strings of dried pain on the walls, and a huge paint splatter on a toilet in a bathroom- Why was this not wiped up?? The wood floors on the main floor are 1/2 pergo flooring & 1/2 wood plank. I really can not express the horrific job that he did on my floors. There are sander marks grooved into the floors, stain splashed on nearly all baseboards and the main staircase, which were both freshly painted white by the previous owners. The gray slate fireplace hearth has stain splashed on it and we can not fix that due to the nature of the stone plus stain marks on the tile floor in the 1st floor 1/2 bath. The thing that set me over the top and was the absolute worst was the rewiring of the switch plates he replaced. There were no less than 6 switches that were miswired so badly that we had to hire another electrician to come back and fix it. There was a serious fire hazard found in the rewiring and the electrian spent 4 hours fixing what Woody had broke. I reached out to Woody several times via text and email to request partial repayment for labor and he never replied. Needless to say I fired him and would not let him touch our basement. If I could give hime negative 5 stars I would... What a way to enter a brand new community - spend thousands of dollars on sub par work. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT, ever hire this man to do any work for you.
