      Hello! I applied to rent a townhome from Delray Townhomes. Part of the application process was a *** application fee per person and a **** security deposit that they promised would be returned if we weren't approved for the townhome or if we decided not to sign a lease. That was May 25th, 2022. We didn't hear back from them approaching our supposed move-in date of July 7th. My sister, my boyfriend, and I all called attempting to get an update about whether the application was approved or if there were further steps. When we finally got in touch with someone they said they needed to schedule a pet interview with my sister's dog. We scheduled the interview, but decided before the day of the interview that we didn't want to sign the lease with them. After that, we called the leasing office for two weeks and never got an answer. I sent the office an email on July 13th informing them that we needed to get our deposit back and we weren't moving forward with the leasing process. After that we didn't receive another response. We continued calling their leasing office and never got in touch with anyone. I submitted a complaint through their website repeating that we needed the deposit back on August 3rd. I received an email from their office August 4th asking for a forwarding address to send the deposit to. I responded with my address the same day and didn't hear anything else. On August 10th, I sent a follow up email asking if the deposit had been sent, since I hadn't received it. They responded that the deposit was sent on the 4th, and to let them know in another week if I hadn't received it to contact them again. I have reached out two more times because I never received the deposit. They have not responded.
