I bought a 2009 Suzuki sx4 and they gave me a rejection inspection stating that the exhaust, tires and brakes need repair nothing else. I have since put on a water pump and it had literally came apart.. I went to get the air refroned and the super service garage informed me that the crew member bar was almost out. I tried talking to the sales manager. At first he said he would get me another vehicle **** **** then went and got a Buick Rainer and said let's test drive this and tried to tell me what they had done to it. I said ok while will are going for a test drive we will let my uncle look at it. Then he said I don't think this is the right vehicle for you. All I ask is either fix my car which only has 137000 on it or give me something with about the same milage and value. My late brothers wife was buying a ford edge from them and **** **** I quote said there is alot more wrong with that one than yours. They are taking advantage of peopleInitial Complaint

Bought a USED truck that had a bunch of small known problems I was aware of . But ended up being BLOWN HEADGASKETS a 4000 fix on a diesel engine . Let them know and they were suppose to call.me.back which ended up me calling 8 days later since I hadn't heard from them . They are saying where it was a AS IS they can't do anything . The previous owner said it needed headgaskets so they definitely knew . I was fine with the small problems we talked about but not buying a truck with a bad motor . Barely made it back home 15 miles with it so it's non driveable .Initial Complaint

I was told I could pay 500 of a 1500 down payment and that I could pay the remaining 1000 the following week on my next payday. Well when I called to see what time I could bring the 500 down I was told because they had 3 other potential buyers now that they could no longer let me do this. They need to make this right with me that's bad businessBusiness response

With the notes attached to this account the following should be understood. The $500.00 was a Security Deposit [not a down payment] for the purpose of holding the unit for 48 hours. [refundable]With the addition of $1,000.00 to total the $1,500.00 was to satisfy the lender to secure financing for this customer. With our Lenders to date, down payment holding/financing is a breach of contract plus is not in compliance with DMV.Customer response

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I understand that I would have had that 1500.00 the next day I was never given 48 hours to get the rest of the money I was told to not even worry about bringing the 500.00 that the finance department didn't want to do that now because there was 3 other potential buyers. Took it in for a recall on the vehicle and after I seen that my noise insulator was missing I took the vehicle back down to freedom ford they told me in does not come with the model and I knowingly know that it did because upon purchase I looked under the hood. Took it back in for the recall and came home and noticed they took my engine cover I called that day a week ago friday the 17th of February and spoke to the manager and explained this to him he told me that he would look in to it and never returned my call.Business response

The Ford Escape {SE} option or trim line being a basic model as this one, items as the hood insulator and engine cover were not a standard factory install in some Vin numbers for 2019-2022.It is not clear how this was determined or completed at the factory. As later in the year 2021-2022 model year due to Covid supply of these item were also limited and some were not installed. As we have understood this issue like this car and this customer we have added the hood insulator at no charge. Now with this complaint and understanding from this customer which has voiced directly with our service writers, we would be more than willing to add the engine cover if it was available as a purchase item from Ford. Ford at this time as no timeline to establish a backorder.Customer response

I have a 2016 Ford Escape with approximately 65,000 miles and on approximately the 3rd of November my vehicle broke down and had to be towed to Freedom Ford in **** ** the next day. Once my vehicle arrived my husband had called to check if the mechanic had time to look at our vehicle. The mechanic told my husband that they had looked at the vehicle and it appeared to be the transmission and that they were going to have file a claim with warranty. My husband called back the following day and they stated that the claim had to be postponed due to the finance department not putting the warranty in our name when we bought the car. This process took approx. 4 weeks to get into our name. After that they started the process to file the claim to warranty. To file the claim it has taken approximately 3 more weeks to order the transmission and now they are stating it will take 2 or 3 weeks to get the transmission in. They have refused to give us a loaner car or pay for a rental car and refuse to help in any way. This is effecting our jobs because we only have 1 car to get back and forth from work and we are late some days due to this. They state they will call you back and they never do and all around I feel as if this is bad business and poor customer satisfaction.Business response
