            On December 9, 2022, my furnace stopped working. I am a customer of American Home Shield (AHS) so I put in a service request to have my furnace repaired or replaced. ACG Heating and Air LLC came out to my home and determined my furnace needed to be replaced. I paid ACG $1655 to install a new furnace. They installed it on December 19, 2022. On December 20, 2022 a plumbing inspector from **** Water, ***************************, came to my home to approve the installation of a water heater done by another company. ******************** immediately noticed the work done on the furnace was faulty and noted the things that had been installed incorrectly. At his request I gave him the name of the company, ACG and my point of contact there, ***********************. While I was able to get ACG to come back out to correct the work, they refused to my phone calls and the calls of ******************** about getting their work approved by ****, which they are legally required to do and assured me that they would do. ******************** did some digging and learned that ACG was an unlicensed company and that **** had refused to provide them with a permit for that reason prior to their work on my home. An unlicensed company is unable to arrange for **** to approve their work. As the owner of my home, I am now saddled with the task of having to pay a licensed company now to come out and approve ACG's work and have **** inspect their work and approve it. This can cost thousands of dollars. I have been unsuccessful in getting *** to send another licensed company out. Given the large sum of money I paid ACG, I am requesting a refund as I was assured by *** that they were a licensed company and would never have hired them had they not been. I was also assured by ************** that they were licensed. Now they are refusing my calls. I have young children and am concerned about the installation of the furnace and feel cheated in that ACG failed to complete the job in ensuring the approval of ****.

            Arthur came to look at My heat pump through American home Shield, He looked at it and said I needed a new unit. He was going to write up the notes for AHS and get back to me to schedule replacement. I never heard back from him. AHS told me when I called them to get an update that ACG Heating and Air does not work with the MagicPac HVAC I have. It is the only unit that will fit in the space for the HVAC unit. Arthur lied and never told me that he could not do the work.
