I was contacted by my credit card company to ask if I authorized a charge of $9.95 on 6/1/2024. I immediately replied no and was told they would close my account and reissue another credit card for me. I checked my statement today and saw the charge remained, so I called my credit card company. I was told it was being disputed plus this same company attempted to charge me an additional $99 on 6/10/2024, but since my account was closed, it did not go through.

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. I did report it to Citibank and they have not heard from them either.

On March 16, 2024 I noticed an ad by a well-known movie star, advertising a set of cooking ********** only had to pay the shipping fee of $9.95 so, I placed the order. The money was drafted from my card immediately, but a couple of days later, someone tried to draft my card for $129. I'm not sure if that was a coincidence, but that made me suspicious & I started to wonder if this was actually a scam. I'm glad I had taken a screenshot of the company so, I looked up the business online that drafted the fee. After waiting 2 weeks with no word or a status update, I emailed them & received a response on 3/30/24 & asked for a refund, & a couple of days later, I received an email response that gave me the # to customer service to request a refund. I called & spoke to someone in the cs **** on 4/8/2024, and she told me that I couldn't receive a refund because I should've read the fine print that said that I was actually agreeing to be enrolled in a monthly drawing for the pans, and that each month I would be charged the $9.95 fee for another chance to win the pans. I told her that was false advertising because their ad stated that there was an overstocked supply of the pans and all you had to do was pay the shipping fee. She kept going on about the fine print and that I couldn't receive a refund. It was only when I mentioned that I would report their business to the BBB. She then asked me to hold while she spoke to her supervisor. A short while went by then she told me I could get the refund for the $9.95 and she would also cancel the monthly subscription that wasn't mentioned as a part of the ad. She told me that since the call was being recorded and the only way I could receive the refund was to agree to take no further action after I was issued the refund. I told her I agreed to the ref only, but she wouldn't issue it without my agreement of no further action like "don't report them to the BBB". After several minutes of this, I decided to end the call and file a report.

On April 16th I saw an ad on instagram from *********************** advertising Le Creuset Pots that they were giving away and all they would charge was shipping fee of 9.95. I provided my info and then checked my credit card and noticed the 9.95 charge but also a charge for $129.23. I called the company directly and they said they were refunding the 9.95 but couldn't refund the $129. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they refused saying there was no one available. I then called the credit company directly to dispute the charge. I just want to make you aware that they are charging individuals under false pretenses. Thank you for your time.*******

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.  And would like not to be responsible for this charge since I have not received any merchandise and believe this is a fraudulent charge.

      Thank
