Purchased a 2012 ****** Outback on 10/10/23 for $9744.70 with ****** miles on the odometer. I test drove the car the day before and asked specifically if this car needed any work or had any issues, Prim Auto declared that this car was in perfect working order and needed nothing. I asked again on the date I purchased the car and received the same answer. The car passed ******** inspected in September.I drove the car less than 5 times before the transmission completely failed on 10/16/23. I had the car towed to the local ****** dealer for diagnostics on 10/17/23 with ****** miles on the odometer. ****** provided a repair estimate totaling to $12510.27. The car needs a new transmission and has 2 valve cover oil leaks.I contacted Prim Auto on 10/17/23. Prim Auto said they could not believe it and would like to make it right. They told me they would call their mechanic and call me back the next day, saying Prim Auto would pay for up to half the cost of getting a used transmission. I was seeking help with the transmission, the other issues I did not pursue, although I felt deceived by the way Prim Auto represented the car as being in perfect working order. I never received a call, so I called on 10/18/23 and they said he had to call his mechanic and they were not answering his calls. He said he would call again the next day. I called again on 10/19/23 and Prim Auto said they still did not have an update for me but that he was working on getting me quote from Next Generation Auto and to tow the car there, despite me asking for a quote in writing which they failed to provide, only suggesting it would be around $5000-6000. I got a quote from a local mechanic for $6000 for a new transmission. I called Prim Auto 3 times on 10/20/23 to ask if they would pay for half, as discussed previously. They said no refusing to work with another mechanic. I asked if they would pay any amount, they said no. They said they would call me the next day. Not once did they ever call me.

On June 27, 2022 I purchased a used vehicle from Prim Auto in **********, **. I had it for less than a week and broke down on me that Friday, July 1.Turns out that the car had a bad head gasket. The mechanic I took it to made the repair and in that process hooked up the computer and noted that the car had the on board computer/dash lights reset only 15 heat cycles ago. Someone had also added stop leak to the coolant system. To me it seems like someone intentionally reset it for the next buyer. In speaking with the *** field inspector, she informed me that she knew of Prim Auto and ************* working together and had just closed a complaint against them I do not have this in writing as it was a phone call. She agreed with me, though, that most likely Bato reset the computer to pass inspection and then Prim sold me the car. She also informed me that there is no way to prove it and that ** is an AS IS state when it comes to purchasing used vehicles.*** at Prim Auto claims he knows nothing about it and would not tell me who inspected the car. It had a fresh *** VT inspection sticker for June 2023. One of the new ones issued by the ***.The VT *** provided me a web based site where you can put in a VIN number and it will tell you who inspected the vehicle. I took the time to input my car and every car on Prim Auto lot. EVERY car on his lot was/is inspected by ********* in *********, **. My hope is that you can help me get the word out and allow the public to know that there is potential fraud going on when it comes to Prim Auto and *********. Your site **** not let me choose two businesses to file a complaint about. So I included both here.Should I file a separate complaint against ****, with whom I had no contact with?I have also filed official complaints with the Attorney General and the ***.My hope is that their fraud gets exposed and others do not have to deal with their lack of disregard.

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.

I would like the public to know that Prim Auto and  ********* are working together to deceive the public.

June 27, 2022 I purchased a used vehicle from Prim Auto in ********** **. I had it for less than a week and broke down on me that Friday, July 1.
Turns out had a bad head gasket.  All the dash lights came on and it was over heating.
The mechanic I took it to made the repair and in that process hooked up the computer and noted that the car had the on board computer/dash lights reset only 15 heat cycles ago. Someone had also added stop leak to the coolant system. To me it seems like someone intentionally reset it for the next buyer.  The *** inspector I spoke to and filed a complaint with also agreed with me.  The *** had also just closed a complaint against these two businesses.  I do not, unfortunately, have a written statement for this.  It was over the telephone.

I asked *** at Prim Auto if the dash lights had been reset.   He claimed  he knows nothing about it.  He also told me that he did not know who inspected the car.  Played dumb, if you will
The car had and still has a fresh June 2023 state inspection sticker, one of the new ones issued by the ***.    It turns out, every single car on his lot is inspected by ********* in Willisont **.

I strongly believe that fraud is occuring at these two businesses.
