3/22/2022, I received a home delivery of multiple prepared food items from this restaurant (regular monthly customer). I unpacked the items and noticed an ant where I was taking out the food containers but dismissed it. I placed all the food items in my refrigerator immediately except for the pizza. One of the items was a tuna sub wrapped in paper and in a brown paper bag, which I placed as is into my fridge without unwrapping it. The next day I pulled this out for consumption. I did not see anything on the outside of the packaging but when I started unwrapping the wax paper I found that the inside of one end of the paper was SWARMING with ants. It was repulsive and disgusting. I secured the paper back and trashed the whole thing in a sealed bag. I called the place and spoke to a manager who said she would have to refer it to the owner because it was a day later. I was called this morning 3/24 I am assuming by the owner. He was defensive and implied that the insects could have come from my home (not possible) or car (THEIR delivery service). He did not want to refund my original payment method but give me a store credit--which he claimed was the same thing, which it is NOT. I do not want to order food from this place again. I finally got angry and told him I was filing a complaint with BBB and he said fine. (I will update this with a download of receipt and trash when my battery recharges.)
