I received out-of-network insurance claims (and therefore higher bills) due to the incorrect submission by the dental office, Dorset Street Family Dental (DSFD). I confirmed prior and after with my insurance provider that the doctor and office were in-network for the care provided. I have on multiple occasions reached their contracted call center with the response that they will communicate the insurance issue, but with no results and it is coming up on three months since the first insurance notice/bill was received. I have to establish new care at a different office where they emergently provided (along with a specialist) an endontic therapy and restoration to a dying tooth. I believe that ********************************* at DSFD, potentially, carelessly performed a filling that disturbed my root and prompted the root canal. I, in coordination, with the new office, Champlain Dental Group, have attempted to transfer my record with the x-rays taken by DSFD, but additionally no action has been taken. I need these xrays to establish care with the new office, and do not want to pay for a second round, as these would not be covered by insurance. I visited the office this morning in person to get these matters taken care of, but I am not confident they will be addressed without intervention or regulated authority. I would like, in the least, for my x-rays/records to be transferred to the nee office and for the insurance claims to be rightly adjusted to in-network service so that I can pay an accurate bill.
