Rude obnoxious get-Nothing-done wife got on the phone and refused to follow up with the grave stone and insisted on keeping my money for a job never done. The gravestone had stenciling bought and paid for once in **** and again in 2019. In July 2021, I spoke with the funeral home director **** Davis and he was having a tough time getting the job done because of an apparent rubber shortage. There was never any follow-up or effort to finish the job. Then today, I reached out to this rude woman who apparently has a stake in the operation and with her left wing ideals she has no interest whatsoever of solving the problem. Rubber shortage? Just walk through ******* and look at all the rubber. A bet every ******* in ********** has over a ton of rubber in each building. A bunch of liars at Davis Memorial Chapel at ******************************************** Phone: ************. I wouldn't want them to cremate me.

      Business response

      10/18/2021

********************** contacted our funeral home on June 25, 2021. He asked us to do the lettering for ************************** who passed away January 21, **** and whose funeral arrangements were handled by the ***** Funeral Home in ******, *******. In March of 2018 **************************'s wife *********************** passed away. We handled the arrangements for *********************** including her date of death lettering for $180. We were not hired, nor were we paid to do the lettering for **************************

We told ********************** that we can add ************************** to our lettering list and that the fee is $180. ********************** spoke with my husband, ***** Page, and paid the $180 by credit card on July 6, 2021.

We contract the lettering out to *******************. He comes to our area 4-5 times per summer to do all of our lettering jobs. Unfortunately, this year he's had trouble getting lettering supplies (something to do with the rubber that they make the stencils from). The nationwide supply chain issue has affected many businesses and the monument industry is one of them.

On Saturday, October 9th, ********************** called just after 5:00pm. He said he was expecting to leave a message for *****. I told him that ***** was out and asked if there is something I can help with. He inquired about the lettering and I explained the supply issues that letterer's are having. I told him that we could refund his money. He went on to call me something like "left wing excuse making person who is not interested in getting anything done or helping people" and then he hung up on me. I found this quite disturbing since my husband, myself and our two employees are 100% dedicated to helping people.

On Monday October 11th, we were contacted by *******************, the engraver, indicating that he had completed all of the lettering jobs in Cavendish, Proctorsville and Ludlow. I confirmed with him that **************************'s was completed and I emailed ********************** letting him know. ********************** followed up with two strongly worded emails. We did not reply to either.

Finally, ********************** indicated in his complaint that he paid for the lettering in 2019 and ****. We were not contacted by him in either 2019 or **** and believe he must have paid the ***** Funeral Home in Ludlow or someone else.

I am including the following supporting documents: *************************** funeral arrangements where the $180 date of death lettering was charged for just her, the original lettering request from **********************, the sales receipt showing his payment, his letter of complaint about me, *********************, ******* response to **********************, *********************** letter stating that lettering was complete, my email to ********************** letting him know the lettering is done, 2 more letters from **********************.
