    On Feb 23, I had to book lodging in an urgent, last minute way. My partner had broken his wrist on the last day of our ski vacation. When he was released from the *** he was an excruciating pain, was vomiting from the pain medication, and a snowstorm was presently occurring and so we could not drive 7 hours ho**** entered the date Feb 23 into Expedia's search function, and no availability appeared. Presently, however, there was suddenly a reservation that was available. Without my consent, Expedia "modified" the reservation date that I had entered with their own "suggested date", which was over one month later. In my frantic agitation to make my partner comfortable, I accepted the reservation suggestion.Having purposely chosen the closest hotel possible, since driving was causing my partner intense pain, we arrived at the front desk of The Stowe Inn no more than 5 minutes after I made the Expedia booking.Upon arrival, The Stowe Inn alerted me that my reservation was for March, not for that evening. It was immediately apparent that a sneaky Expedia trick had occurred. Nevertheless, the hotel was able to accommodate us in a room and I paid for us to spend the night. The hotel clerk and I discussed that the issue of the incorrect booking for March could be resolved through the manager in the future.I have since reached out to both The Stowe Inn and Expedia over phone and email repeatedly for over 1 month but neither business is willing to refund **** made the booking at The Stowe Inn in a clear emergency situation. Expedia had decieved me. The Stowe Inn was advised of the mistake and of the situation in real time. They even witnessed my partner vomiting into a bag in their lobby with his wrist in a splint.The Stowe Inn's uncompassion and inflexibility regarding their refund policy -- especially when this is not what was discussed with the clerk on duty, *****, and when I was still a playing customer -- is unacceptable. Please help me.

    Ive stayed in a lot of 3 star hotels/motels across the country and will put up with a lot, but my two night experience here was truly horrifying.On the first night, my bedsheets REEKED with the smell of cat urine. On the second night, I switched to the second double bed in the room. When I removed the comforter, I found giant yellow stains on both flat and fitted sheets. I took a picture and brought it to the desk at check out (unfortunately it was after 11pm when I arrived back at the hotel both nights, so there was no one at the desk then). When I spoke to the woman at check out, and showed her a picture, her only response was Huh. Ill talk to housekeeping. Not even an apology??? Those sheets were ****** in and never changed. ??This overshadowed other things: the door to the adjoining room (rented by another party) was not locked from the other side, so the other guests just strolled into my room. The coffee machine had not been emptied and the alarm clock was blinking and not working. Im honestly surprised I tolerated my two nights here, but all other hotels were booked in the area and it was too cold to sleep in my car. Im going to report this elsewhere because paying to sleep in unchanged, dirty sheets is . beyond disgusting, ESPECIALLY with no recourse or apology or solution offered by the staff.
