      Carrentals.com advertised a rental with Free Cancellation "up to 48 hours before pick-up time." On Nov. 21 at 1:22 p.m., I booked a rental for Nov. 29. When some plans changed, I cancelled on Nov. 23 at 7:26 a.m. Carrentals.com charged me a $50 cancellation fee. This is a clear-cut case of false advertising and, likely, fraud as well.

      Terrible. My flight was changed to ********************************************************************************** the full fee for my rental or pay $100 cancellation fee and rebook. When I went to rebook the same car rental was $400 more. Do not use. terrible policy. Terrible customer service. You will be robbed by this compnay. DO NOT USE.

      Arrived at Rental Sixth .Car was more then double after I was told that it was not paid in full and I had no insurance in which I did buy .Total scam do not go threw these guys

      They absolutely suck! First off, they charged me for a car I never used. Secondly, when I tried to get my money back, they said they were a billing company for hospitals! Asked to speak to supervisor, they said they couldn't help me. Totally a scam! They need to be shut down and criminally charged. Wish I could give them - stars. they should give me stars for putting up with their incompetence

      I am under 21 and wanted to see if I could pay a fee to rent a car. Carrental.com did not stop me or confirm that I was over 21 so I went ahead and tried to book a rental only to see that I had paid the full price for the rental but I legally am not able to use the services, as I am 18. I had called asking for a refund and explained the situation and I was told that it was cancelled and that I would be refunded. Almost a week later and I dont have the money back in my account even after the original transaction was processed. I called again and was told nothing could be done about it and to contact customer support. There is no number to call for customer support so now I am $380 dollars short with nothing to show for it.

      STAY AWAY! SCAM ALERT!I made a reservation for a car that was TWO WEEKS AWAY. Things changed so I attempted to modify the reservation. There was no option for me to modify so I canceled and rebooked with the SAME company, carrentals.com. I realized they charged me $50, which was confusing because I did not see a cancellation fee mentioned upon booking. I called to get the $50 waived because I REBOOKED which the correct dates. They kept saying that they couldn't and that "its in the policy" even though the original reservation was TWO weeks away and made another reservation with them. So now, I chose not use them AT ALL. With any emergency or changes, you cannot modify the reservation. PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY.They have bad policies. Very predatory SCAMMERS.

      Bait and switch! Do not use! I rented a car and paid for it online. When I got there they said there was no car in order to up-charge me for an upgrade. So disappointed in carrentals.com and expedia.

      This company fraudulently charged me $433 for absolutely nothing, and **************** did not support my dispute. The telephone operators engaged in deceptive practices to prevent me from cancelling.

      This scam company charges $50 even if you cancel immediately. I realized I had made a reservation by mistake and cancelled immediately. They offer no customer support line and no resolution through the virtual agent. Terrible company. STAY AWAY!

      I made a reservation online on 9/22/23 through carrental.com for a car at Dollar Rent A Car. The reservation was for 11/23-25. When I got to the Dollar Rent A Car counter at the airport on 11/23, Thanksgiving day, they told me they ran out of cars. Even though I had a paid reservation, they could not honor it because they ran out of cars. They acted like this was a normal business practice, to have people reserve a car, pay for it, and then tell them, sorry, no car here. I had to scramble now without a car trying to figure out what to do. I still havent received a refund. This is simply outrageous, and no business should be allowed to operate like that. I deserve an apology and compensation for my troubles.
