We signed a contract with Lake Union Charter / Emerald City Party Boats for our wedding welcome party on 3/9/23. We paid a deposit of $1500 for our party. The party is scheduled for September 14, 2023 but recently when i reached out to contact them, their email bounced. I went to look at their website and noticed it is down. The phone number goes unanswered. We have left voicemails but they have not returned calls. If the company is out of business, we would like our deposit back.Obviously we need to know so that we can rebook another venue, but poor yelp reviews leave us to believe they have taken our money and have no intention of fulfilling our contract. The last contact we had was on March 13th when Six Iese (my contact at Emerald City Party Boats) said in an email that he received our money. The boat was still parked on Lake Union as of last month but they are clearly not operating.Initial Complaint

10/08/22 I sent over the signed contract.Paid $1800 We paid to have a Veterans Day Hero Celebration Cruise on Veterans Day. Scheduled and reserved for November 11th 2022. Veterans Day. Not only did we pay $1800 for the charter I also paid for a comedian I paid for catering I paid for cake and I paid for a party bus. The last two weeks before our scheduled date for our event I got no answer for the company until less than 24 hours from the event they canceled on us saying they had engine problems. We then pursued a refund and have since been ignored, and told flat out that they are keeping our money and go ahead and try and come and get it. we had over 130 veterans planned to go on this cruise that came in from all over *****************.The only person that we can talk to is the manager his name is Six ****. He has refused to give us the owners name and also is the one who told us that he was keeping our money. Is phone is ************. Between the $1800 for the charter and the thousands of dollars in preparation for the cruise, we have lost lots of money that was all donated to us from Veteran Supporters for Veterans Day. We beg you to please help us get our $1800 back so we can try and have a Veterans Day event next year.I have supporting emails and texts showing he received payment and signed contract. Whatever you need. This company blatantly ripped off nearly 200 veterans on Veterans Day.Please help us.
