We hired Evergreen Pro Remodeling to do a complete remodel of our home and re-roof our carport. The carport walls were not to be removed because of the grandfather clause for property line purposes. Our contract clearly states to replace the roof. Evergreen tore the carport down without our authorization or presence. Now the city is requiring the carport to be reconfigured based on the current property line requirements. Evergreen is refusing to correct their error without charging us for a change order.

We contracted with this company in May of 2022. We were told work would be completed by Sept 2022 and that they had their own employees and did not use contractors. Contractors were used for the entire job and the job was not completed until Oct 2023. The permit for construction was not even submitted until Sept 2022. We asked multiple times for a detailed timeline and scope of work. The invoice we received showed limited information. We have asked for a detailed receipt of expenses and have never received anything. The guy we contracted with said he would be on the job site every day- he was rarely onsite and when he did come to check, did not communicate with us. We had more communication with the contractor onsite than the company's project manager. We asked for an outside door to be installed in our family room, they included it in the contract and told us months later (even after ordering the door and storing it on our property) that they were not able to do it. Several requests were made that were agreed upon and not delivered, it's no wonder, after multiple requests that we still were not able to get an actual contract for the work. We asked them to add room around the hot tub for walking and access for maintenance and they did not allow for that. They said we would have to pay for the hot tub to be lifted out in order to perform maintenance on it. We failed the electrical inspection 2 times. After the second failure, they informed us an electrician would be coming at 9pm to look at the work. We reminded them that we contracted for workers to be here no later than 6pm- they said they did not have any choice and were sending them anyway even with our refusal. When the electrician came after 9pm, he asked US what needed to be fixed. Project is finally done and already the gutters are falling off as well as trex boards from the deck. Most horrible experience ever!!

      Customer response

      10/26/2023

Evergreen sent a response ignoring my previous questions in favor of lip service about their commitment to make things right. They have since refused further communication.

      Customer response

Evergreen continues to refuse to communicate consistently. They wait days between responses, ignore direct questions in emails, and make claims that they won't substantiate. All the while they talk about the urgency of resolving our complaints.

In November 2022, I reached out to Evergreen Pro Remodeling LLC to add a bathroom to my home. Throughout the process, there were multiple incidents of the company acting in bad faith. When I realized this, I stopped the project immediately. Here are the instances of bad faith in the short time period that I interacted with the company: 1) Evergreen withheld an invoice from us for the job. We had asked for the itemization before committing with them in order to make a fully educated decision. They did not allow us to be fully educated consumers. 2) We ended up going with them because their sales representative, ****, said that she would take care of us by 1) keeping the project cost low while getting the work done the right way and 2) getting the new bathroom legally permitted. We had conveyed both of these priorities to her before any work was done. She had acknowledged both items. 3) Evergreen was actually able to give us an itemized work order after months of us asking for it and only after we mentioned that we were going to bring in a third party to advocate for us in this BAD FAITH situation before they provided the itemization. At this point, it was June 2023. I had stopped work on the project before the end of the year in ******) The initial worker who they brought out to do plumbing did NOT have a valid DLI license/certification, merely an expired trainee license. The day prior, we explicitly asked **** at Evergreen for him to bring his certification/paperwork. At that time, **** promised us that her worker was certified when he in fact was not. He was a handyman, not a licensed plumber. 5) Evergreen has taken our initial deposit of $7,700 AND a $10,000 loan disbursement and are now refusing to give the loan back even though we are we trying to cancel since we would like to deal with Evergreens directly and instead of with the lender. They took our money and ran and now they are ignoring all our attempts to reach them. Please help, thank you.

For the past few weeks, I have been receiving multiple phone calls per day from this company. I will block the number and they will call back from another number. Some days they will call me up to 6 times. I called their main office on 12/92, and 1/4 and asked them to remove me from their call list. I just received another call this afternoon.
