Why doesn't Value Village bring back changing rooms? Seems a bit unfair not to be able to try something on or get a full refund if purchased only to discover it doesn't fit right. People are trying clothing on in the aisles for heaven sakes After all these are donations..shouldn't it be a win-win for all?Review from Michelle K

Below is for the letter to Head Quarter, but there was no information to complain. Please read.I recently went shopping at Value Village on ********************************. It was Tuesday, and it's Senior Day. I am 70 years old.I was about to pay for two items and told the middle aged tall lady that I am a senior and would like a discount. I showed her my USA passport, which it was easier topull out of my wallet. She got angry and said she couldn't see where the birthday was. I said, You have eyes on you, don't you? She got very angry and started to jump up and argue with me. She yelled at me to leave immediately. What made her so angry? Though I wanted to leave right away because I felt thatI gotharassed, but I could pullout my driver's license, which I showed her. Is this the way to treat a customer? I thought this woman was sick or maybe she doesn't like Asians. We are your customers, but we are also valuable donors to your company. This tall, arrogant, mean, middle-aged woman has no appreciation for either the customer or the donor.I am an immigrant from ***** and have been an American citizen for almost 40 years. Wherever I go when I return to *****, I always receive courteous service. Also in *****, second hand stores do not sell donated items, they buy them and sell them.Even so, the customer service and attitude are very courteous.Do you train your employees on how to treat customers? I was truly appalled by this high-handed female employee and I never want to go back to this store again until she is gone fromthat store, and no more donation to them. She was very rude for no reason. So I went to ****. They have fitting room, thankfully, and employees are very polite to the customer. Also their items' prices are almost same as Value Village. Sometimes cheaper than Value Village.Review from Elizabeth A

After shopping at value village for YEARS and spending hundreds of dollars I needed to do an exchange which I never do. Forgot my receipt at home and they refused to help me. I wasnt asking for money back, just wanted to exchange them. Almost 100 worth of clothing. Im disappointed that one time they wouldnt help. These are donated items not new, so I dont understand why they wont help. I will no longer be buying from value village ever again. Will make sure I tell everyone about my experience which I feel its a horrible one.Review from Mr B

" A recent visit to this ********************************, with a valid coupon in hand, wanting to purchase several pieces of clothing, turned in to being insulted by a very large, very rude, female store Manager. The coupon in question, as shown in the attached photo, displays both a key phrase, "and more*", as well as a descriptive, "Excludes", list. Please note that nowhere within the entire coupon does it mention clothing. Upon checking out with five(5) pieces of clothing the attempt to use the coupon was denied. The above mentioned Manager was summoned only to further deny the use of the coupon. Furthermore this particular Manager refused to admit that the coupon did not in any way "Exclude" clothing and went on to insult us by stating "You came here just to start an argument". Needless to say many other words were exchanged yet we purchased the clothing without the use of a coupon and went on our way. At the very least this is a clear case of false advertising with a store Manager not showing the slightest bit of quality customer service perhaps offering some kind of discount under the circumstances. Not only is it recommended that this Plymouth MA store be avoided at all cost but that this Manager be fired immediately."Review from Sandra W

Their exchange policy is horrible. Only clothing or shoes can be returned-for credit toward a same day purchase. If you buy an item that turns out to be defective, youre out of luck. No returns for cash or credit. Where else can you buy a defective item and the store refuses to take it back? A lot of times, you cant tell in the store if the item worksfor instance, things that take batteries. We bought a Nerf gun today ($10.49) that requires 6 C cell batteries. I asked the cashier manager that if we discover it didnt work, could it be returned for credit and she flatly said no, thats not our policy. Seriously?? What kind of policy is that? Shame on you, Saver. Additionally, all the things you sell were donated. This is a terrible policy that should be changed!Review from Kaylee O

On the 13th of April, I bought a watch in the store at the ****** and ****, ******* Branch, the management signed a paper saying that I had 24 hours to return the watch, and they would not give back any money, I agreed.I came back the next day to return the watch as it did not function (I had already bought batteries for the watch).I went to return the item and the manager told me that I had to pick an item of equivalent value, which is understandable. But noted that it must be purchased now. I then noted that there is no item of interest to me in the store at the moment and to please provide me with a gift card or some sort of voucher to come back at a later date, I was then told that is the store policy or there will be no refund at all.Review from Ale O

I have emailed this retailer twice, to inquire about prices, which lately have been ridiculously high for a thrift shop. Some, even higher than brand new prices. Also, I'll see discount tags removed from new items so they can price higher. I've emailed, asking if it's a new policy or if it's location manager's doing, but I never get a response. The workers are rude and unprofessional. It's like the company doesn't care about their practices or customers. Hopefully they're cancelled soon and a better company takes over. I vote for a boycott.Review from Jennifer R

I purchased a bluray DVD copy of Lord of the Rings Trilogy for $3.99 and was very excited to find it in amongst the racks. After purchase, I noticed that it was a digital copy, whose codes had been redeemed and expired in 2011. Valu Village will not issue a refund and only offers store credit. I have ZERO interest in ever purchasing anything from VV again as this is a complete scam. It should have never been accepted for purchase; it is entirely useless. It's not about the $4.50 I'm out, it's about the fact that this company accepts literal garbage and sells it to consumers and refuses to refund their money.Review from Timothy R
