      I won't give them even one star. I tried to cancel my subscription and get the balance of it refunded because of poor delivery and customer service. Since changing over on December 12, 2022 having the post office deliver the paper my service has been terrible. Out of the 17 days I was supposed to receive the paper I have only received it 8 times. My mail service is not very reliable. I get mail delivered maybe once a week and sometimes I get the papers which are anywhere from 3 to 4 days old or I don't get any papers at all. I subscription goes to July 23, 2023. Trying to speak to someone in person by phone is a nightmare. I tried chatting online and waited for over 20 minutes before I cancelled the chat. Then I tried the phone and then I waited for another 20 minutes or so before anyone came online. I feel because of the poor service I should at least be able to cancel and get my money back.

      I canceled my subscription last year in October on their website, they still billed me. I have emailed in and asked for a refund more than once, and asked to cancel my subscription and no one answers. I sent emails on 1/3/22, 1/5/22, 1/24/22, 2/4/22, and today and never receive a response. There is never anyone available on the phone. They also sent me an email saying they would give me a $6.00 credit for the year, when I responded that I just wanted my money back as they should never have billed me in the first place, I received no response.

      I wouldn't even give them one star. They need to be investigated. Due to poor delivery and customer service, we cancelled our subscription and asked for refund. They not only didn't return any of our money, they sent us a ****, trying to get us to "reup".I have documented several emails/phone calls to both the local ****************** and emails, to McClatchy, all of which have gone unanswered and again, no refund.Although through the years, we have gone from seven days a week down to just Sundays, due to poor service, we did renew for a year, and then didn't receive the paper four out of the first five weeks, so we contacted them and cancelled and asked for refund. They totally ignored both my and my husbands request for refund, as did their parent company McClatchy. Although it is a small amount, we feel their are not a reputable company and people need to be made aware.I would never recommend this paper to any one.
