Do not ever take your car to this repair shop, the Lakewood Midas on Gravelly lake driver in ******** ** they cost me over $ ******* in repairs on all 3 of my vehicles and did not repair the vehicles, almost destroyed one, the only reason I used this shop was it was within walking distance to my home.I am writing multiple reviews on each of my vehicles, starting with my wife's car her ***** sonic. Her car had an antifreeze leak they changed the thermostat housing $1200.00. Next day still leaking, so took it back they changed more parts $500.00. A few days later still leaking. I found the leak on the Water pump. at another shop. So I contacted the Lakewood shop, and they said they would fix it for free. Well a month later there was a loud rattle noise under the hood, I noticed the pully on the water pump was shaking, so I took it back to the Lakewood shop. 10 minutes late they said fixed the serpintine belt was loose. 3 days later the rattle noise again, I took it to the ******** shop, they showed me the water pump, the berrings on the water pump were siezed and all three bolt holes attaching the pully to the water pump were destroyed. ******** aksed me to take it back to Lakewood, I said no, I have not had any problems with the coolent issues with the car after taking it to the ******** Midas. ****** wont let me write. Next issue same time frame, on the Sonic, engine light, they said it was the catylic converter, so they changed it, $1500.00 guess what it was not the catylitic coverter, I went to another shop and they found it is the small fan on the front of the engine, My Jeep had a leak, the Lakewood shop said front main so they replaced it very expensive, 2 days later still leaking, said it is now the rear main leaking that was going to cost thousands to replace, took it to another shop that was recommended by the ******** Midas and they found it was only the Oil pan gasket that had been leaking the whole time, not the front or rear main.
