      Liars and thieves. Astound broadband powered by wave. I'm located in *******, **********. Phone *** lowered my monthly payment because the price doubled overnight. *** said pay 140 today and that will cover Jan-Mar. Now I have a bill due for March. It was on a recorded line but they won't review to hear and honor what the *** told me on the phone. Shady. Bad customer service.

      The service itself is pretty good actually. I've been with Wave- now Astound for several years. I used to recommend them. HOWEVER. Every year they jack the price up. Not by a little. I can call in and get the price dropped back down but there are always fees. I call it the yearly BS fee. Usually $40-$60. This adds up and I'm kinda tired of it, hence the review. They were warned. Example. Decembers bill was ~$60. Januarys bill was ~$90. I called in and got it back down to $60 for February, but it cost me $40 to do so. Now they talk a circle and call it something else but it is what it is. Billing is always circle talk. Bills and months never line up - it's like they have their own special calendar so give that up. So while the service is pretty good and I would like to keep it, as they have been warned, there are other providers in my area and if they don't stop with the stupid fees, I will go else where.

      Awful, Since they are the only cable option in **********, wa I am stuck and they know it. I was with wave and the company before wave and now with Astound which was another merger. more than 30 years. Always raising rates. they give deals to new customers but dont care about old customers. I have to get Loyalty credit that is only good for a year that I have to call and renew. If I dont my bill goes up *****. They dont publish online or on statements when the 1 year credit goes away so I have to see my bill go up then call and get it undone. They are hoping I dont notice the increases. Astound is not that reliable and goes down too often. Also, people have to complain about the down time before they credit for days of downtime. *** price keeps raising. They have a monopoly so they dont improve. The email program is old too. I also pay for High speed but they will nickel and dime you if you want HDR. I live in a circle in ********** but yet I have to use a signal booster on my cable because they put too many houses on the nodes and wont improve it.

      Awful!When I signed up they gave me free **** for three months, including a **** box. I cancelled the **** before the free trial period was over. Four years later I moved and I find out they have been charging me all this time for **** equipment rental at $3 per month, and since I don't have the equipment any longer they are charging me $75 for not returning it when I moved. When I talked with them about it they said: "You may not have had ****, but you were renting the equipment, so we are charging you $75 per month for not returning the equipment."They also keep raising my monthly rate again and again and again.

      AVOID! Customer and internet service is terrible! They constantly try to raise your rate, especially if you are on auto pay, for no reason! Service, speed and equipment dont get improved or updated, they just try to make you pay more for the exact same spotty doesnt work half the time service. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! They put on one-time charges as often as possible and randomly with little explanation or valid reason.

      Do not use astound broadband! They will s**** you over and over and over. They promised me 3 years of service at a good price so I went with them. After 1.5 years they raised the rate then promised it would be good for another year. Lies, after 8 months "the price of the plan went up." So in 2.5 years my bill went from $60/month and then was supposed to yo yo $85/month after 3 years was at $133/month after on 2.5 years. So of course I found a different provider and canceled there service. Well here they come again 2 months after not having their service at all and paying my final bill they are saying I owe them for a month of service I didn't have. So I asked that it be removed since the person in store when I returned all equipment and finalized the amount due to close out the account and confirmed payment told me I didn't owe them anymore money. They just threatened to send bill to collections if I didn't pay it. Honestly this is the sleaziest company ever and I used to have ********

      It's the day before Xmas eve and they disrupted my service. Wow. I have been trying to catch up with payments these last 3 months as I accidentally missed a payment. I paid a past due balance of around $90 in Nov. While planning to pay what would be the last due balance of $102 this month. HOWEVER - I received a bill 2 weeks ago for $300 with current charges in the amount of $198! $107 of which was listed as "One-time Charges". Then just yesterday, to my surprise, I received another bill totaling over $430, with a past due balance of $298!!!! Today they cut my service. I have no other options and no one to contact as it is the holiday. What a rotten thing to do right before Xmas. It appears that they not only wrongfully charged me over $100 but also expedited the current bill so that they could shut off my service. At this point, I'd rather just not have an service at all than to deal with the stress this company has caused me. If I had any other options at all, I'd take it, but alas they have the monopoly on internet in my area.

      Worst internet provided. They jacked up their price and extremely poor service. Most of the time outages after outages. They never notify the outages. When you call them, a big wait time and rude customer service. When you start your frustration, they just turn off the calle

      Expensive compared to other companies. When I reached out to their support, they just tri d to sell me more service's or suggested I get a lower speed to save money. Would not offer anything else. Which is sad as I have had ******* and others and they would offer good standing customers discounts. The *** refused to do anything but sell me more services or lower my speeds. I have been a customer for over 4 y ars now. Going to look for another provider and suggest anyone sleep to find someone else. Their current prices are higher then most others.

      Dishonest during installation. Now I'm trapped. Install tech and new service **** lied. Disappointed. 1st time customer. Forced onto ******************** at new rental condo. Intermittent connectivity. Mayhem in being able to provide consistent and accurate information. 1) Install techs stuffed me with services--said my current modem-router wouldn't work even though it worked 24 hours prior at the old apartment and lied that my new coaxial cable wouldn't work despite a very short distance and needs for a 2-bdrm condo. 2) Install techs and phone *** during time of install didn't give the me the new customer promotion nor present all of the options. The price for 600mbps was so ridiculous that I chose 300mbps so as to figure out options later rather than in the midst of install and moving chaos. Apparently, I am ineligible for new customer discount because of what I was coerced to take over the phone during installation. 3) Intermittent connectivity. No kidding. My family has experienced dropped connection several times a day some days. 4) We don't consistently get 300Mbps speed...so if they allegedly offer higher speeds, why can't they at least deliver 300? 5) I get different answers from each person I speak with except the consistent one that I am not allowed to have the new customer promotion despite being a new customer. SADLY, LIKE AN ABUSIVE BOYFRIEND, I can't get out from Astound unless I break lease on my new rental condo.

      Astound customer service still is giving me conflicting answers and isn't righting the wrongs. I recently got a reply, "After being a customer for 30 days, a customer is no longer eligible to switch packages to another new customer offer." Well, then how does ******************** address the 3 calls I made within the 1st 30 days where I was DENIED switching to new customer promotions? ******************** is acting fraudulently. I get denied in the first 30 days...and then am told that they won't rectify the situation since it has been more than 30 days. Fraud, fraud, fraud. If I could leave you I would. But you hold the contract at this condo complex and have entrapped me.
