We have been trying to cancel our membership to 24-Hour Fitness (now ProFitness) for months. My husband has tried to email & call to cancel. I have tried to email and call to cancel. There apparently was "no possible way" to cancel those ways and you have to go in-person to cancel. Today, my husband went "in person" to cancel and was told "the manager is the only one who can cancel, and she's here M-Th." Now, I'm beyond angry, and want not only to cancel, but 6 months of dues refunded. These practices are designed to make you give up and continue paying dues. And, why on EARTH can't you cancel with a phone call and/or email. Even if paperwork is involved, it can be sent via email and returned. 24-Hour Fitness is a shady organization, which is probably why they had to go Chapter 11. We are now officially ****** off. Not that we haven't been. But to go in and be told to come back another day has now elevated the anger to a point where it's time to file a formal complaint. The amount paid reflected below is by month. We've been trying to cancel unsuccessfully for months.

The current owner ********************* owns this facility and has become increasingly aggressive toward patrons. He has:-Kicked patrons out for no reasons that go against contract agreements, including me. -made suggestive remarks about club goers and their outfits.-shared with club goers including me which woman he is attracted to and who he wants and doesnt want to have *** with based on their clothing.-interviewed young girls by sparing with them and forcing them to hold up sparing pads while he full force punches them. Then brings them to a private room in the back. -has been arrested and charged for assault in the 3rd degree, and has held a woman hostage which required police and swat intervention -signed patrons and non patrons up for SMS texts without consent by the consumers -has touched club members and stared at them including me without consent. -signs customers up for contracts without giving customers a copy or allowing them to see a contract being signed. Its electronic and he signs a pad and shows a tiered system of pricing.-will not answer phone calls or emails after I was kicked out and he cancelled my membership. I had to stop payment with my bank. -will not allow members to put a card number down, instead only allows checking and routing numbers so consumers cannot dispute charges.-verbally threatens consumers and past consumers in violent ways.I have contacted the attorney generals office and the police. He kicked me out and cancelled membership because I asked where he wanted me to park (which was a tow away zone) I then asked to park on the street and he accused me of arguing then kicked me out and it still attempting to charge my bank account and it sending me SMS texts regarding my billing issues even though he supposedly cancelled my membership. He is stealing peoples money and harassing them while he is being constantly arrested for assault. I also believe he is living in his establishment.

I purchased my gym membership directly through the owner. Later, I found a cheaper deal with limited access to the gym through activeandfit.com. I canceled my gym membership from the owner, but continued my access provided through activeandfit.com. The website has been charging me for the membership, but the owner, who has sexually harrassed me in the past and has called me after business hours (I have screenshots) decided to cancel my access to the gym and said if I wanted to reinstate it (even though I am not delinquent on payments) said i needed to come in "and discuss it in person" I asked why this was necessary. He then proceeded to scream at me and said if I didnt like it I could find another gym. He is uprofessional and should not have canceled my access if my account was not in arrears. I should not be getting after hours phone calls, and I shouldnt have to discuss anything in person if I am paying my membership on time. He is a creep, unprofessional, rude, and just makes women feel uncomfortable.

Hello,I have tried to cancel my membership multiple times. I called the club no answers. I got my membership in March, I wanted to cancel in May, sent the letter to their financial institution. No resolve. Called back, now I have to pay months of gym membership I have not used since April. Im pregnany and I have moved over 25 miles. ** my gym contract I can cancel based on the fact I have moved more than 25 miles from the gym and all its affiliates. I am getting the run around, every time I mention the relocation, it is not addressed by ************* Solutions, nor is the gym answering their phones at all. I put a stop to this on my card because I don't understand how hard it can be to cancel gym memberships!
