I had my car towed to Port electric to have a free diagnostic done and to have them fix it, when's the car was there I went in personally handed the mechanic the keys and told him everything I could about the car and what had been going on with it, then i gave him my info which he wrote down on the calendar sitting on the counter. I called several times over the next several months to see if they put it in the shop yet to see what was wrong with the vehicle and and how much would it cost to repair it. Several months after it had been towed there they finally pulled it into the shop, it was in there for a week when I called to find out what was wrong with it, he had me call back in a couple days because they hadn't gotten to it yet. When I called back in a couple days the man I spoke to on the phone didn't seem to know too much about what was wrong with my car, he said it wasn't getting fuel which is what i had already told him, and he said someone had blown the main fuse....I asked him a couple other questions, and he didn't have any answers, he just said they had been really busy, and they had to pull my car back out of the shop, which I didn't understand why they did that, I wanted them to diagnose and fix it......so i told him i would touch base with him in a week or so......when i called back nothing had been done further so i told him he would have to give me a lil while but as soon as possible i would make arrangements to have it towed elsewhere. When I called last month to make sure the keys would be in it so I could have it towed. The mechanical answer phone had no idea where my car was at, he said there was no car like that in their lot, he didn't know what happened to it. And didn't know what to tell me. I have witnesses and pictures of the day I had it towed there! And for some of the phone conversations also. And so now I'm filing a complaint and neither want my car returned or compensation for my vehicleBusiness response

The customer had her car towed to us and it did take a while for us to check it out as it was a busy time for us, and we were booking 3 to 4 weeks out. The customer had someone else work on her car just prior to having it towed to us and we did find a blown main fuse to her fuse box, which we replaced and didn't fix the problem, which the customer was never charged for. I let her know she had other problems with the car which could cost much money to diagnose, and she asked for us to leave her car out and she would get it towed off of the premises. The car stayed her for several months and we had it towed as an abandoned vehicle. The tow service that towed the vehicle would have sent the customer a letter stating it was towed in which she would have had a certain number of days to pick up her vehicle before the tow service could do anything with the car. We also charge $40.00 per day for vehicle that are left at the shop and not picked up in a reasonable time. We did not charge nor receive any money from the customer while the vehicle was here.
