I let them know I had no insurance, and a ten year old injury that was re-aggravated, a year ago. They waited until the end of the evaluation to tell me 'matter-of- factly' that anything over 3 months is considered chronic pain and would require xrays, which I found out then, they don't do. I got zero information for my $170. Then had to go pay for xrays elsewhere. They feel their "good faith estimate" covered this. However, I should have been informed at start of appt. that any pain over 3 months would require xrays which they don't do. They didn't give me the proper info to make an informed decision about where to get my evaluation. When I asked for a refund the next day and asked if they are a member of the better business bureu, they referred me out by email saying they would not be accepting me as a patient.Business response

The patient was made aware before the initial appointment of the cost of the exam and the potential that x-rays may be needed. We can never be sure without evaluating a patients concern if further imaging will be required whether it is a chronic concern or not. We ALWAYS make patients aware before the evaluation that depending on the results further testing or imaging could be needed. This is to keep the patients safe of any and all complications. Prior to this patient coming into our clinic we also sent what is known as a "Good Faith ********* this estimate goes over the exam cost which is the $170 dollars due at the time of service. We have records of the patients agreeing to the cost of the good faith estimate and understanding the charge before she came in. Even after the evaluation the patient seemed to understand the reasoning of requiring further imaging and paid her fee and left.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:This business waited until the end of my exam to tell me that they do not do xrays and any pain over 3 months is considered chronic and would require xrays. I told them repeatedly ahead of time my pain was from a 10 year old injury, re-aggravated over 12 months prior. They did not inform me that is considered chronic and would require xrays which they don't do. If they had informed me of this, I i would have made a different choice of where to get my exam done. I got zero information from them for my $170. Their "good faith estimate" seems to be a catch all to prevent them from having to be accountable for services rendered and I would advise against people signing that. When I questioned their business practice in this matter, they told me they would not be accepting me as a patient. This does not seem like the practice of a credible health care business. I strongly advise people to not use this business for healthcare.
Sincerely,
