We called appliance repair mm for dishwasher leak fix. They send a technician to repair. He claimed that he fixed the leak, charged us $350, took cash payment and and left. We realized that the dishwasher is not repaired. When we called the company again, they are denying that we ever called them. We dialed the same number listed on their website. Finish the job or give us refund.

Hello BBB,I'd like to report a repair service company that came for a house call and claimed that the fees for diagnosis would be $89 but he ended up charging $174+ for the diagnosis and did not end up fixing the issue. The technician did not speak much English which we totally understand and tried our best to work with him. However, he was not helpful about fixing the problem of our dishwasher. He simply said "it's not my job" after looking at the dishwasher and water valve. We have our toddler at dinner time and just wanted to get the night going. The unethical charge should be refunded as he did not help us fix any issues at all.

Thank you for contacting us about your recent service appointment. We strive for transparency in our communications and billing, and we welcome the opportunity to clarify any points of concern.

Upon review of your account, the initial service call was billed at $89, with an additional diagnostic fee of $50, making the subtotal $139. State sales tax and banking transaction fees totaled $19.60. The gratuity of $15.86, which was included in the final amount of $174.46, was optional and at your discretion. These details were specified in the contract you signed before the technician commenced work.

During the visit, our technician performed a thorough diagnostic and demonstrated that the issue was related to the plumbing system connected to the dishwasher, specifically that water was not flowing through the supply pipe. This type of issue falls outside the scope of our appliance repair services, as our expertise is focused on the appliances themselves rather than the plumbing they connect to.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions or require additional assistance.

      Dear Better Business Bureau,

We are writing to provide clarity and context regarding a service query and a subsequent complaint received from a customer. Our aim is to elucidate our company's policies and actions in relation to this specific case.

Our company protocol involves ordering new parts rather than repairing existing appliance parts. In the case in question, ************** determined that the ice maker was receiving power but was not functioning properly. Based on this assessment, the decision was made to replace the part. Consistent with our standard practice, a non-refundable deposit of $200.00 was collected for ordering the replacement part. This policy is clearly outlined in the contract, which the customer had agreed to and signed prior to the service. The contract explicitly states: '1. Deposit is non-refundable.' We will attach the signed document for your reference.

A few days after the deposit was made and the part ordered, the customer reported that the ice maker had resumed functioning. As per our policy, which is clearly stated, deposits are non-refundable. This policy is in place to cover costs incurred from ordering parts specifically for a customer's service request.

We would also like to address an invoicing error. An automated system erroneously issued an invoice for $170.83 to the customer. This invoice was invalid, and no payment is expected.

We hope this letter provides a comprehensive overview of the situation and demonstrates our commitment to resolving this issue in a manner that is fair and considerate of the customer's experience.

      Sincerely,
      *********************************

I am rejecting this response because: On 10[24/2023, mechanic name ******* told me that your Ice Maker is bad and cost of new will be $325.00. First mechanic asked me to deposit $250.00. I told him that I am living bin my own house and I am not going any place and let us deposit only $100.00. After lot of haggling, they agreed  for $200.00 deposit.  On 10/24/2023 , I immediately called the Appliance Repair MM LLC company dispatcher ***** on phone number ************** and requested not to order new Ice Maker and refund my excess money. The service charge was $89.00. I requested ***** to connect me with company's manager to refund my over charge amount. I also on 10/25/2023 file the dispute with ********************************** card charges.   Then I was receiving invoice of $170.83 to pay online and last one I received on December 5th, I received the reminder to pay $170.83 invoice which I have attached.  It is a fraud from very start because my Ice Maker  was not defective. I have not signed any contract with Appliance Repair MM LLC company.   I never received the new Ice Maker from Appliance Repair till this date. Appliance Repair MM LLC MUST return at least my overcharge $100.00.

      Sincerely,
