***********************, principal owner with his son, came out to replace a leaking but functioning recirculating water pump" which sends water to the "functioning" instant water heater for the condo. He installed it backwards which caused the heating unit to throw codes and shut down. I suggested he reversed the pump because the unit was working when he shut it down to replace the pump, but he refused to consider it. After multiple visit with diagnostic workups on the heating unit, and after unnecessarily replacing multiple parts, including a "motherboard" the unit still threw codes indicating no water was being sent to the heater. The hired technician sent out to put the new motherboard in called ****** out once more after the unit failed to start or run.****** finally admitted he couldn't figure it out and acquiesced and reversed his incorrectly installed pump . It took less than 10 minutes . This allowed the Navien heating unit to once again receive water and function. Bid Mechanical charged me more than $950 for what should have been a ten minute job and a part that retails for $200. His own incompetence led to his extra work and unneeded parts.I filed a complaint with the ** State ************************* and they deemed it worthy to open a file and attempt to contact him, but Bid Mechanical chose not to respond to their efforts.You have other options for your heating and air needs.
