I bought a piece of equipment sight unseen at the high end of current pricing. The salesman told me that everything was in good working order.When I received the machine the seat had a big tear in it. This machine doesnt have an enclosed cab and the salesman was aware that I worked in a very rainy climate. One of the forks on the machine was also quite bent. It appears to have been bent back but made worse resulting in a big hump in the fork. I made the salesman aware of the issues and he again assured me he would make it right. He told me he would do whatever it took to make it right. So, he said he sent the seat and was going to look into getting me a new fork. A few weeks lapsed and I checked back in with him. He told me he sent the seat. No seat ever showed up, nor did he ever get my shipping info to even send. I called him with no answer, and I also texted his cell phone but he didnt respond. I sent the owner an email with no response. Today I called the owner and he couldnt speak with me at the time. He did call me back and said he would send a new seat. He accused the shipping company of bending the fork. I have already spoken with the barge company and the men who personally loaded the equipment. When I told him that he changed his tone and told me to get it fixed myself and that he isnt going to send me a seat now!I am a small business. I have one employee, and this is a very large investment for my small company. Please help me resolve this issue. For the price I paid it isn't too much to ask for a straight fork. Even their salesman agrees and I have in writing.Business response

This Customer purchased a Used ******** telehandler with very low hours at a Wholesale Price. The unit was completely serviced and checked prior to shipping to the Dock. We delivered the forklift to the Dock and the ************* had it in their possession for over 10 days. The customer called complaining the it had a bent fork which we absolutely know that when we delivered it to the Barge lines that it did not have a bent fork. We have pictures of the lift prior to shipping at our facility. He also is complaining about a small tear in the seat which is a joke but nonetheless I offered to send him a new seat and told him to go get the fork straightened or take it up with the *************. I also asked him how the forklift was running and he said it was operating properly. He then became irrational and rude and started attacking verbally at which point I told him we are done with this conversation and I will not give you a new seat. I have been in business over 21 years and have never received a customer file a ******************** Complaint.
