I also had a horrible experience with Essential Moving, similar to other reviews. Everything starts out okay until there is an issue and then several people I contacted were immediately rude and threatening to not complete the delivery if I didn't pay extra charges. Two days before my belongings were to be delivered I was informed there would be an additional $300 charge because my items would have to be unloaded off the original moving van to a "shuttle". I sent an email to trustedmovingandstorage.com and was told that if a tractor trailer cannot get to your property a shuttle would be needed and ****** maps showed that I am right near one of ***************. I responded that there are eight states that border *************** and I don't see what difference that makes. There was no email response after that and "mysteriously" no additional $300 charge. However, even though the contract states the first flight of stairs is no charge I had to pay $75 on delivery. Explanation this time is that each company decides how many stairs are free and Essential allows 7 stairs - I guess that's for hobbit houses?! And again rude threats of not carrying belongings up stairs. I did feel bad for the 2 delivery men. This was their first job they said and they had driven for 3 days and 3 nights from ********** to ******** (even though I had been told policy is drivers drive only 400 miles a day). They were inexperienced and unprofessional, not taking care of the way they were handling my belongings.. I also was not informed that items would be taken to a warehouse in *********** to sit for 3 weeks. This company is a SCAM!!!

They should be run out of business! They are so dishonest. A company set up our move from ****** to ******** with Essential Moving, at the time they were Aknazar moving. EVERYTIME we talked to them the price went up AFTER they had picked up our things. Charged us $250 to shrink wrap" a small end table that had a glass top. Since they were packing our stuff at the time we had to pay it. Horrible communication. As they were meeting us to deliver our things, they sent a text saying the cost was going to be $400 more!!! Luckily, I had the original contracts so they couldnt rip me off for the $400 they demanded. Had I not , they would have held our things hostage and not delivered them. When they deliver your things, you have to physically hand them a check or they won't unload your items as ALL reputable places would wait until you verify your things are safe and unbroken. Worst company I have ever dealt with in my life.

We needed to move our **** sq ft home from WA to PA and were sent to Essential Moving by Brightline Moving **** While Brightline did a good job at first of making me feel comfortable that they would hire an accredited and solid moving company, it turns out they didn't. Essential Moving sent 4 ********************************************************************************************************* Zelle. Then, when they packed up all our items, they lied on inventory listing things they had packed as "customer packed" and items they had taken apart as "customer packed" or "content unknown". They assured me that they would put all items back together upon arrival, which surprise they did not. When they arrived in PA, not only were items missing, but they showed up with a 3rd mattress that was not ours, but were missing some of our items. Many things were broken, chipped, boxes dented, and they had taken apart our entire gym (bench/rack) while in transit and did not deliver all the necessary items to put it back together. Also, much of the gym equipment had grease stains and dark scratches none of which can be removed with the strongest cleaner. The movers who delivered had a terrible mood, and when I contacted Essential Moving, the man on the other end was rude, told me to file for insurance and would not even look for our missing items. DO NOT USE Essential Moving OR Brightline Moving!

We needed a moving company to move our 750 sq ft 1 bed room 1 bath apartment from ** to **. We were greeted by **** with a very enthusiastic, professional manner he gave the spiel that everyone wants to hear " no hassle". The pricing was right on the money. And the reputation of the company made us feel at ease.We left a deposit with our CC and made sure several times that, that same credit could be used at time of pick up. **** recorded all large furniture and items that were to be taken. He also wanted a box count (we had not yet finished boxing items) so we gave him large box count to begin. This was all smoke and mirrors. The day of the big pick up, Essential Moving Company no longer accepted credit cards but wanted a Zelle payment through friends and family ( big red flag) there was little to no communication only that our 750 sq ft is now **** sq ft. And there was a SIGNIFICANT increase in the price quoted. Not to mention **** had incorrectly entered bed sizes.We called New Leaf and they seemed very uninterested in to the point they blocked my husbands number and only answered when I called from my phone. Essential moving company would not load the truck until either we used a cashiers check or Zelle super sketch system. 3 Hours later and a trip to the bank (no hassle right?) they loaded the truck. We ended up finding out mid trip to NC that our things were still in CA. Fast Forward we are in NC and our things were delivered. We were told that they would break down furniture and it would be rebuilt upon delivery. Well we have a king size bed frame with pieces that were not attached and a handful of screws and washers that didnt end up on the frame and NO MATTRESS. We called to find out that it was still in CA and our dining room table is also MISSING. Some Boxes that were labeled Fragile are dented in and look outwardly damaged We called Essential Moving and were helped by a less then helpful gentleman that seemed frustrated.
