  *************************** has been my tax preparer for the last two years, since my previous accountant died. I asked her to submit the appropriate paperwork to turn my business into an S-corp. After literally putting me off for a year because of "family issues," she came to my house in September to fill out the appropriate paperwork. Upon reviewing my financial statements, she advised me that she believed there was a strong possibility that I could receive an SBA ***** in the amount of $50,000, and that she would be able to fill out the appropriate paperwork. She believed that if the ***** *********** was successful, I would have funds in my account before the end of the month. We agreed that she would put in this *********** and that we would change my business paperwork to an S-Corp before the year's end. ***** never turned in a ***** ***********. She stepped beyond the scope of work and created a new business that included several different, unrelated ventures that she inappropriately financially and legally linked together. The *****ing agency said that she had to unlink the groups. She was unable to do this. When I called her on this, she cussed me out and fired me as a client. I have asked her for the contact information of the person she worked with on the ***** process; she refuses to give that, even though she was working on my behalf. Further, when I contacted the state earlier today, I found that she has been impersonating me, sending letters "from me" instead of identifying herself and sending from her on my behalf. I have fixed some of the errors she made and would be able to apply for the ***** shortly if she was not hiding the information from me. ***** has undermined my business, acted if not illegally at least improperly, and is now willfully keeping the information I need to finish the job. It will cost me thousands to repair this if I hire someone else, assuming that the ***** is still available once this is all sorted.

  I am in the process of filing an information reporting with the *** regardint this client that I met for loan and ***** work in September of 2023.  I fired her as a client 6 weeks later.  I had previously prepared a tax return for her in May of 2023 and had not met her before that.   When I saw her full financial picture after she uploaded it to an online storage site I gave her I was concerned.

  We are taught to see something, say something and I am preparing back up documents to mail to the ***************** of the ***.  They will be mailed this week and I expect a callback from them within 2 weeks. I refused to work for this client due to misrepresetation of financials and concerns about potential money lanudering or Other non compliant financial handling.  My son is a Federal Prosecutor with the *** so I understand out of compliance better than most.

  Why would a client doing nepharious things report to you?  To cover the fact she used $$$ she did not have authority to use.

  I will let the *** agent know I am communicating with you and I will leave it up to them if they provide you with copies of the backup documents.  I will provide you with the case number after speaking with them.  I will call you after speaking with their agents.

  There are numerous statements in ************************ response that are fictitious. Her response is retaliation for me making a complaint. 

  It seems that this is now in the hands of law enforcement.
