    I purchased the six person barrel sauna from this company and have had nothing but terrible customer service. Not ONE phone call has been returned and it takes 30 to 40 hours to respond to an email. They shipped a wrong item, (worth $800) and when I tried to get a hold of them, somehow they stated it was my fault. Everything about this company's customer service is terrible. Oh yeah, three items I ordered they double shipped. I don't know how this company stays in business.

    This company is horrible at communication. I spent over 15k and had product that was clearly damaged/poor quality before it was shipped yet it was shipped to me away. When I called the company for help with the damaged product it took them weeks to get back to me. Still, 3 weeks later no help. I have called 14 times because I was given the wrong instructions 3 times. I think this might be an online scam.

    Purchased an alaskan cold plunge tub in September 2023. Received it to my house in January 2024. Set it up a month later and noticed as soon as I dripped water on the wood lid that the water stained the wood which I thought was weird. Within a month of the tub being set up outdoors and covered with a tarp in between uses, I noticed that the wood was getting black along the base and along the top edge where it got wet most when getting in and out of the tub. I tried to sand and stain the entire tub and the same problem happened again within a few weeks. After contacting the company and sending in photos they informed me that the tub that they sent me was not sealed or stained and that I was supposed to do this prior to using. No where on the main page of the product does it say this. In fact it clearly states on the main page "All you need to do with this cold tub is fill it with cold water, and jump in to cool down and feel good!" The customer service agent tried to tell me that it was listed in the FAQ but why would they hide the fact that this needed to be done prior and if it did need to be done it should be written clearly on the page where they advertise their product, not in some link that has FAQ. The tub is made to get wet, so why would they ship out a wooden tub with no seal and expect the customer to do that when already paying $2200 for this tub?! The CS agent told me that a few months after I purchased my tub that they now seal all tubs prior to shipping to customers, so obviously this is an issue and they are just being dishonest about the fact that they sold me a tub that should have had been sealed and ready to use upon receipt. The customer service agent offered no reimbursement and no apologies other than telling me I should have read the owners manual or the FAQ prior to using it. Why sell a product made for getting wet and the outdoors if its not made to get wet and for the outdoors Save your money and the headache and shop elsewhere”

    Awful, hostile customer service. Bad, bad, bad.I ordered two very expensive kits from this company. One came and the instruments were faulty and cheap.I emailed repeatedly and called repeatedly to cancel the second kit - which had been delayed for months. They refused to take action on the cancellation and requested refund without a conversation with me. The conversation consisted of the sales manager wanting to argue with me by phone. He said he would keep 3.5% of the purchase price because that was their policy. I told him that was unacceptable.As of this writing, Redwood Outdoors has still refused to issue a refund. Horrible!

    I had the same experience with these hot tubs. Leaks, poor construction, and bad service. They claim to be local. They arent. These things are made abroad and clearly without any skills.

    I ordered a hot tub from the company and it was back-ordered for about 2 months. They offered a smaller one instead, and it took another 2 months to arrive. The carrier wouldn't deliver it past the curbside so I had to hire a moving company to pick it up from the freight delivery company. The whole product was in a bunch of pieces thrown in a large rectangular crate. There were no instructions. It was missing many pieces, which they did ship out to me shortly after. I did not realize that it would not be assembled. It was very involved to assemble, took two people an entire day to do most of it. But then I had to hire a plumber the plumbing and an electrician to do the electrical because they were so involved. After assembling everything, it had a serious leak, which we tried to fix multiple times with tape and caulk but still leaked. Definitely a waste of money, for the hot tub, the moving company, and hiring the plumber and electrician. The advertising is misleading, in the description it's portrayed as a fairly easy assembly.

    We ordered a 6-person cedar hot tub from them and it was a big mistake. We are fully anticipating having to replace this in the next year or two. In the two months our tub has been operational, it hasn't stopped leaking. We've tried everything from caulk to patience and it seems to be leaking more now than it did when first assembled. Furthermore, the staves are starting to split, the stairs to access the tub are starting to crack which is a safety hazard we weren't anticipating needing to address in the first few months of use. Finally, their business practices are very misleading. We are based in ** and wanted something local. As other have stated, the ****, ** address is not accurate, it's simply a port location they distribute their imported tubs from. Really hoping that others learn from our mistake and do not order from them.
