I contacted amy craig designs of *************. She used to live in ****** wa. She posted an ad for reupholstering boat cushions on ******** marketing. I contacted her end of April. She came out to my house to give me a bid. She took 5 loose cushions and told me it would be $2k. For everything. I had her do 1 cushion and I would check the quality. I took the ferry to ************* and saw the cushion. I told her I wasn't happy with the wrinkles. She pulled the staples and restretched it right then. I then agreed to pay her $1000 that she needed for materials. I then gave her 13 more cushions. She contacted me saying one of the plastic backs had a crack. I told her I can fix the crack with my plastic welder. I met up with her on May 17th. About 2 weeks after giving her the load of cushions. As I welded the broken plastic back, she loaded all the cushions into the back seat of my truck. I got home that day and was so sad with the horrible wrinkles and crooked stripes and crooked seams. I then tried to put one of the ok back cushions in place and was stabbed from the extra long staples. I contacted her and sent her pictures. She said the wrinkles were not that bad. She said I was being ****** critical and completely unreasonable. She then agreed to redo the ones with stripes and would not put the stripes on them. That's not what we wanted nor agreed to. We finally realized she was not able to redo the 14 out of 18 cushions. I asked for the old patterns. She only had 1. I took the boat to another upholstery shop. They said the cushions were so bad they couldn't use the skins she had made. It would also cost us extra to have them redone because the old patterns were not available. I told ******** wanted my money back. No response.
