This business provided me an estimate on February 21 for $1826 for removing carpet and installing LVP flooring in 3 rooms, along with 2 other small jobs of repairing a broken door lock and fixing a leaking sink. I then paid a 50% down payment of $883 on February 23 as shown in the invoice 45. Upon what he said was completion of the job on March 4, he sent me a few pictures that looked ok and then invoiced me $2191.55 for materials and the remainder of the job. He indicated the job was completed. I paid but then had a friend come by to check on it (I do not live in the area) and he said the job was clearly not done. I sent the business pictures of the incomplete work and he apologized, said he was rushed and went back to attempt to finish it by Sunday March 6. He then sent me additional pictures that also looked ok, saying he was done with the flooring job as well as the smaller door lock and faucet job. When we finally went to the house ourselves in person on the weekend of March *****, we found the job to not only be of horrendously poor quality, but it was not even complete. Pieces of flooring were missing entirely, some carpet was not even removed, transitions were not installed and those that were were dangerously loose with nails sticking out, boards were not cut straight and there were large gaps between the boards and the wall. Additionally, the door lock was not repaired and the faucet still leaked. I have contacted them multiple times through FB messenger, e-mail and text but no one replies. This business did not provide the service stated in the quote and refuses to acknowledge the incomplete and poor quality work. It is a scam. I would like a refund because it is so bad, we had a professional come to assess the situation and they advised we rip up everything and reinstall new flooring. I also had to pay another person to fix the door and faucet. Please at least ensure no one else gets scammed by this business and if possible help me to obtain a refund.
