There has been services paid for for parts and labor since April.Chinook heat and air has documented the work and issues fixed but I am still having concerns with the work completed.I have spent missed work and money in hopes of resolving the concern in which has been only leading to further cost without a permanent fix to the issue. Chinook has not offered any guarantee towards the scope of work without costly reoccurrence type charges that has been the normal process without remediation to this point. They have serviced my equipment for a period of time with no resolution only costs.

Chinook requests customer pay their balance at the time of service.  Since December 2023 ********************************* had us out several times to completed work on system.   There were a total of 6 invoices totaling $2476.57 for work that was completed during this time.  Customer had made 4 payments $555.46, $637.52, $293.49 and $260.87 which left a balance due on the account of $729.23.  He then chose to stop payment on a check for the $293.49 bring the total due back to $1022.72 for work that was already completed.

When customer called to schedule warranty work on 8/23/2024 we chose not to make the appointment until the account was brought current.  He did make the payment that afternoon and we went out that that day and completed a call back (warranty work) for $0.  The tech notes are as follows: Arrived on site and unit wasnt cooling. Found some loose wire connections from the previous repair. Tightened connections and secured to insure it wouldnt happen again. Units refrigerant pressures are good and operating properly. No other issues on site.

I am rejecting this response because:

I hired Chinook Heating and Air conditioning to install a new HVAC/Heat pump system for my home.  While they were installing this i expressed my concern that my back two rooms get very hot.  When they were finished with the installation they went around my home and checked the temperature at the vents.  They stated that they were all at the correct temperature.  A few days later my back two rooms were very hot.  Chinook heating and air suggested I get a duct cleaning so I did.  The people came out and taped off all my vents to my home and went on with the service.  When they were finished they were untapping the vents and i was telling the gentleman my concerns he stated while pulling the tape cover off the the vent in one of back rooms that the vent was closed and same with the other vent.  With all the people working on my new system no one noticed that the two vents were closed.  I do not believe I owe this bill to chinook heating and air.  I believe they told me I needed to get a duct cleaning when obviously it was not the issue.

Now, I am having problems with my new system that I spent over 8,000.00.  No one from their company has ever came out to do maintenance on this since I got it.  I was told that this was part of the purchase and now I am having issues and they are refusing to come out as I owe this bill that they told me I needed but obviously did not.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

We will no longer be sending statements for the work performed. One of the complimentary tune *** included with a new system was performed by ****** on November 15, 2021.The other was canceled by Chinook because we have not received payment for the duct cleaning and will no longer perform services unless we are paid.

Since moving into our home Jan of 2019 we had issues with our cooling system the very first summer , with 3 little kids we had to get out of the house because the unit went out! This happened 8 times 4 thermostats and 2000$ for emergency services later because after 3 times I canceled their maintenance plan because it was completely useless. Coming out today for the 9th time because its out again. Hoping this gets somewhere because I see them at neighbors houses too and were all ready to sign a petition agains them.

This was a new construction home in 2019. During the startup of the system we found that the electricians had wired our system with high voltage to a device that should only be wired with low voltage. This caused many of the components in our furnace and heat pump to be fried. We replaced what we thought was needed but over the 2.5 years we keep running into side affects of what the electricians did to our system. The customer is wrong when saying he has been charged $2000 as a result of this issue. Everything that has to do with this issue has been covered under warranty. He agreed to sign up on our maintenance program on his own which cost $217. After a while he decided to cancel that subscription. In January 2021 his labor warranty expired and that is when he started to pay for diagnostics and other items ($466 for thermostat and diagnostic) which he has always agreed to pay before we move forward with scheduling or installing parts. Even after his 2 year labor warranty expired I still didn't charge anything that had to do with the original problem since he has had issues from the beginning. This last visit on July 22 2022 we did charge him for a diagnostic and labor to replace a capacitor ($255) because that part has nothing to do with the original problem. It is very common for a capacitor to go out. We don't fell like we have done any wrong in this situation and understand why the customer is unhappy. And I have assured him that we will fix any further issues at no cost if they have anything to do with the systems original issue. He has threatened us with lawsuits and keeps telling us that he will find another company to use if we keep having issues. If we find out that another company has been there I wont be able to honor the warranty anymore.
