We have been trying since July 2023 to get a refund for our Mom, who is now in ************ Our Dad passed 8 years ago and the subscription was never put in Mom's name. After cancelling the subscription, we requsted a refund for the remaining months. We were told by "customer service", in Wisconson, that we needed to mail a copy of Dad's death certificate to prove he had indeed died 8 years prior. We did that. Two months later, and no refund, we called "customer service" about the refund and were told you couldn't mail anything to them, that the mailroom wouldn't forward mail to "customer service". We should have sent it via email, we promptly sent an email to "customer service" with the information. One month later and no check, we contacted "customer service" once again. We were told the check had been sent to our Mom at her correct address on Sept 29, 2023. After numerous calls to "customer service" we were told to wait a month before they would trace the check. After many more calls to "customer service", were received a check issued Oct 26, 2023 to our deceased Dad. Doesn't anyone at the Tri City Herald care that these marketing companies have no desire to perfom the service that they are paid to do. All we are asking for is a $576.73 refund for a prepaid service, so that a 95 year old can have more cash to pay for her $6,200.00 monthly care. I challenge anyone at the Tri City Herald to show they really care about the people that have supported them for 50+ years.

After requesting to cancel my subscription I started receiving calls from their retention department. After numerous requests that they stop calling me and their assurance that I had been removed from the call list the calls escalated. Last count I have received 10 calls in the last 4 days. I regret ever subscribing to this paper.

We have been battling with TC Herald for months. My husband is 79 and still wants to be able to hold the paper and read it. We have subscribed to this paper for well over 40 yrs. On 1-26-22, I went to pay the **** online or we will be charged $2.99 if we do not go paperless, for 8 weeks. We take the paper 2 days a week. The charge should have been $74.40. When I went to pay, it did not give you that option it charged my debit account for 1 full year. The amount of $535.44. I immediately called and spoke with customer service. I was told this would need to be reviewed and my debit account would refund the amount of $461.04 within 10 days. I called on 2-3-22, was told again, it is still in process and if it hasn't been credited to my debit account by 2-10-22, call again. I call again on 2-14-22, still in process, would be taking 19 days. I asked to speak to a manager/supervisor. I spoke Vic, he tells me it will take 3 business days and I will have the amount of $461.04 credited to my debit account. I let Vic know that if the money had not been credited to my debit account by 2-25-22, I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau. If it were not for my 79yr old husband, I would have cancelled this subscription years ago. So disappointed in the lack of customer service. The prices are terrible. Each billing an increase.
