We had Cosmopolitan help us clear out some items from our house including some valuable items we had appraised in September of 2023. We have received nothing from the promised estate sale 8 months later. They have moved the dates of the sales at least 4 times and always give us an excuse for why they havent sold our things. They are basically an extremely expensive junk removal company. We would have hired a liquidator and saved so much. I would never recommend this company. They are not trustworthy in our experience.

their website gives you the impression that they are good at what they do and they are able to get the best price for you sale. In reality, they do not communicate well to the customer, promise what they don't deliver and they give excuses for everything. Could of sold all of the items at a garage sale better than they did and with less effort and stress. Took an average of 4-6 email before they emailed back and they never kept the customer updated of efforts and results. Their documentation of effort and sales was so general, you can not determine what they did, sold and for what. I would give them an "F" on their results and success of their sales. They never kept to their own schedule of when they expected to have all of the sales done and we had to constantly communicate to them to be able to obtain the few dollars that they did make for us- it was not worth the fees that they charge. Would not recommend them to anyone.

Dear ***,We apologize for not meeting your expectations or communication during the Covid 19 Epidemic.We did or best under all the constraints of having sales per the *** and Washington State mandates.Sales were sporadic and had extraordinarily little turn out by our regular customers or the general public.We dealt with your wife on the whole matter and told her from the start that it could take up to several months or a year to sell all your Mom's items, Covid unfortunately lasted much longer than any of us could image.Please remember we picked up your Mom's Estate from a dirt floor, uncontrolled environment, storage unit that you were paying rent on.Your wife was ecstatic about having your Moms stuff moved so you all were not paying rent, and the possibility of all your Moms stuff being damaged by rodents.Unfortunately, Doll Collections and Doll Houses did not sell well during Covid 19.Large mixed doll collections did not fair well at all and are still not selling for much.I am sure you can only imagine the fear that people have of going into a public space and catching Covid, especially you being Medically Compromised.We remember ***** explaining to us why you all could not have a sell, as you were at risk of being exposed to Covid and you were physically unable to move your Mom's Estate to your home for a garage sell due to your garage being completely full with a car restoration project and stuff.We also took a ton of your Moms unsellable items to the transfer station for disposal that was not sellable as part of our contracted service with you all.We still have items from the Estate that we will be selling, Cheryl explained to ***** in a phone call that we would keep selling your Moms stuff as things begin to normalize. We are finally seeing customers that we have not seen in over two years.***, you did not send us 4 to 6 e-mails, we do have one e-mail from you asking about the reconciliation, and I responded back saying I would give you a call and I called and left you a voice mail.***** and you did not request a itemized inventory of items sold per the contract, we identified for you any items that sold for over $250.00 as a courtesy.We still have two of your Moms furs and jewelry which we have continued to try and sell, we estimate the remaining value to be sold at around $1000.00 to $2,000.00.We can return these items or keep trying to sell them?
