I just received a 1099 form under someone else's name and MY address! I need my information removed from this company ASAP this is absolutely unacceptable.

I received a ******************************************** worked for this company. Like others, they have used my social security # for illegal immigrants. How does this happen and how did they get my information? I want an explanation immediately!

I have received a 1099 from Appen AI, INC. I have never heard of this company. I have never worked for this company. My personal information has been stolen and is being used without my authorization. I require a thorough search into whoever is using my information and the company for allowing this to happen. I require full details and copies of any and all documentation and files under my name and social security number that are being used without my permission. I have contacted Appen AI, INC with no answer. I will be reporting this to the local authorities as well.

I received a 1099NEC from this company stating they paid me $2,550.30. However, I have never heard of this company nor was I ever paid that amount. I would like to know how they have access to my personal identification information as this seems like fraud.

I received a 1099-*** from this company. I've never worked for them nor have I ever heard of them. They have my name and ss#, but are using a old address. I believe they should've done a better background check. This is fraud. They list the nonemployee compensation as $6520.72.

This company has allowed an immigrant to use my social security number, name and address for employment. I want this 1099 retracted immediately! They have allowed the person to be issued a 1099-*** under my name and social. This person received the amount of $3,182.22 from this company. I have never worked there and they should have conducted a more thorough background check to prevent fraud.I have tried contacting the company numerous times, and received no response.

I received a Nonemployee Compensation 1099-*** tax document despite my never having worked for or heard of this company. It was addressed to my father ******, but it includes the last 4 digits of my SSN and my former home address in ******* (I have lived and worked in ***** since Mar 2023. The form indicates $3,418.52 of compensation for which no income tax was withheld. Please advise.

The business responded to the dispute but failed to make a good faith effort to resolve it.
This company has allowed an immigrant to use my social security number for employment. My name is ***********************. The address used for employment is ******************************************************************* and that is not me. I want this person fired immediately! They have allowed the person to be issued a 1099-*** under my name and social. This person received the amount of $6,345.33 from this company. I have never worked there and they should have conducted a more thorough background check to prevent fraud.

Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I will email the business as requested and CC the BBB assigned investigator. However, I do not want my complaint closed until it is proven that my information is completely removed from the companys website and will no longer be available for use. I will also like the company to press charges as well.

I have not received any response from the company after I sent the email. Im really concerned about my social security number continually being used to gain employment and I want to make sure that its not available for further use with Appen

I got a no employee Compensation tax return and I have never worked for this company. Some how they have my social security number. Saying I made money for them$4031.35. I never heard of this company. I want to know who gave them my SSN and information. This is Fraud. Im on disability it could hurt that. This is FRAUD
