[Alert] Seattle Sun Tan: ********************** Billing Practices Its come to my attention through several consumer complaintsincluding my own experiencethat Seattle Sun is engaging in unethical billing practices.Besides numerous complaints found at the Better Business Bureau, ************ My ******************* and more, Seattle Sun continues their same outdated billing policy that rips off consumers, and the corporate office has poor back-end process compliance that needs a severe audit. When someone tries to cancel their membership, they must walk into a salon and sign on the dotted line. One issue is consumers are signing on a tablet in which the script is filled with legalese thats hard to read, so unsuspecting consumers wont see the small print (see highlighted area in pink on my submitted image).They automatically assume their staff will make an error and they wont back it up or take responsibility for it. Consumers are canceling and their corporate office keeps billing their method of payment on fileunauthorized.My personal story: I canceled my membership on January 22, 2024, and they continued to bill my credit card for six additional months. When I performed my biannual review of credit card transactions, I caught their error and thought theyd make it right. NOPE. They stood their ground and pointed to their tiny print that even if they made a mistakeit was too bad, so sad. Essentially, they gave themselves legal permission to steal consumers money. Then after my persistence, they tried to throw membership credit to me. (Do you really think I want to do business with you after this?)My credit card company came through and reimbursed me four months' worth of charges with commentary that this scenario is typical of suspicious and unethical billing policies.
