****** ********************** of Davis Home Improvements, LLC contracted with my wife and I to do a simple kitchen remodel and other minor work at my home in late 2021. He collected a 50% deposit for the job of $3000 out of a total cost of $6000. Unfortunately, Mr. ********************** never showed up at our home again after collecting the money and has never done any work, nor procured any supplies, since that time.On three occasions beginning in late February 2022, Mr. ********************** scheduled work at our home, but never arrived. His excuses were varied and ever changing. We were initially told he had only a few small home jobs ahead of us such as bath remodels and that our job was scheduled for February 26th, 2022. When he no showed, we contacted Mr. ********************** and he had a number of reasons for not contacting us and for no showing. He later rescheduled the work for April 27th, and then May 1st, but continued to no show. At one point, he offered to lower the price of the job, but in discussing this, he had the wrong price and job details, leading us to believe that he did not recollect with whom he had contracted to perform services for. After repeated no shows it became evident to us that Mr. ********************** had no intention of doing any work on our property. We requested a refund of our $3000 at that time and he refused, yet continued to refuse to do the work, either. At this point, Mr. ********************** completely disappeared with our funds. Mr. ********************** stated that the homeowners were to acquire all supplies at the start of each job. Therefore, Mr. ********************** can neither claim that he used our funds to procure supplies, nor can he use a supply chain excuse, as he was not waiting for any supplies to arrive.At the time of the contract, Mr. ********************** insisted on being paid a large deposit as stated above, and also insisted that it be paid via Venmo friends and family. Upon complaint to L&I, we were advised of infractions prohibiting him from entering into this contract, and believe we were defrauded.
